How SIEM differs from IPS and IDS then ?

IDS detects threats based on signature. On top of it, IPS blocks activities like attack, IP, etc. SIEM collects detected threats from IPS/IDS and creates an alert in the incident response tool.

SIEM is nothing without good SOC.
I'm still looking for a job in cy-sec, trained in RT operations but no1 need 40+ who's remember beginnings of the internet and 286, 386 PC's... atm for example I'm installing Watson for FUN, my whole life is just one continuous learning and expiercing outside the box.
