Gabriel Faure 3 Romances sans paroles, Op. 17 1. Andante quasi allegretto 2. Allegro molto (1:42) 3. Andante moderato (4:19) Jean-Philippe Collard, piano
L'art français par excellence. Tout est dans le raffinement, l'élégance et l'éclatement mélodique. Que l'on est loin de cette cogne ambiante de barbare que l'on nous balance dans les médias, les magasins et les transports.
@@blahkayonaFriday Actually, the pianist is playing the desired tempo marking Andante. Left hand is 16th notes and Andante is about walking speed in quarter notes.
@@blahkayonaFriday I think the intimacy is still there. The melody doesn't drag at all and is quite singable. I recommend if you haven't already to listen to Debussy play his own Clair De Lune, you'll most likely say the same thing.
L'interprétation est excellente, c'est entendu. La prise de son l'est aussi, ce qui n'est pas le cas pour tous les enregistrements de l'oeuvre de Fauré par Jean-Philippe Collard.

Très formidable.
Number 3 is lovely.
Élégance, délicatesse, beauté...
Great pieces, alas underplayed.
この素敵な演奏を聴いて、フォーレの音楽が世界中に広がっていってくれたら、うれしいなあ🎵
Barcarolle 1 and Romances sans paroles 1 and 3 remind me very much of John Field, esp. his 7th Nocturne
Trés belles...
No. 3 reminds me of the middle section of his first barcarolle
the first section of which recalls Field's seventh nocturne
Wonderful :)
I love this Channel ❤️❤️.
J'adore
No. 3 is like a dream. I think of Schumann, Chopin, with a hint of tango, maybe like Ernesto Nazareth.
More Schuman and Mendelssohn than Chopin.
No. 3 is played too fast. It sounds more like Allegretto.
Lovely!
If number 3 is a horse race, this artist wins by three furlongs.
too pretty i cant 🥺💕✨
El tercer és meravellós

#2: 1:42
#3: 4:24
number 3's andante moderato but it was played like vivace or something
I totally agree I thought I played it too slow last year lol, I'm gladly revisiting the same piece and it brings back a lot of memories
like the third one
but in my opinion it's played a little too fast
Me too. Slow down a bit and two lines of melody from R.H. will sing.

Who else is here because of the giant spiral classical piano music collection with the yellow cover?
the library of classics? yes
Haha I also saw it in there. Seems like a very odd choice to put in this rather obscure work into a book of alleged 'Piano classics'.
I am and I have to say, wow, that is a beautiful piece of music.
RIGHT HERE
No way!!!!!!
How is that possible?
Yes that's exactly why I'm here.
is it a bit fast?
The andante at the end definitely feels fast to me.Andante is supposed to be moderately slow.

too fast. esp #3. It's is a precious jewel that comes into view facet by facet.

I just sightread through part 2 and was like, this has to sound better than this XD Definitely should be played at speed :)
Same, and all the accidentals makes it difficult to sight read too haha
