Well I think they all need a pay cut. If they are an office employee, then their butt better be at the office during business hours.
The president shouldn't have to fight with a civil servant union to eliminate redundancy, or inefficiency. Schedule F implementation should reign in the rest.
I don't think congress or senate should receive a pension. They should pay into ss just like the rest of us. Their salaries shouldn't be tied to a fixed dollar amount like it is currently. Their salaries should be determined by their constituents average wages, plus 10%. No more. We already fund their transportation to DC and home. We fund their offices in both DC and in their districts. They shouldn't be able to trade any stocks/financial instruments while in office, and for 10 years after leaving office. Nor should their immediate family members. Especially if they pushed through laws, funding, or have other insider information that is not public, that will effect the financial markets.

      There is no spending problem.
We've paid down 120% debt to GDP before. We did it while creating Medicare and fully funding two trust funds that covered the program until this decade. Income over $200,000 was taxed at 90%. Businesses did everything they could to minimize their taxable income, which included spend, spend, spend, and employee bonuses. The federal reserve was never worried about recessions because the previous quarter was TWENTY PERCENT GROWTH. Inflation matched wages increases. Reagan cut the highest tax rate in half, subsidized demand with government debt, and employers increased wages at half the rate of inflation.
We know what the right thing is. Do it.

      Child support is not LAW!
The program has NEVER been enacted by the US Congress nor is it mandatory for any State to participate in the illegal practice. Someone show when the Public Healthcare Act was signed into Law and I'll back off.
      😐 I'll wait....
The US Government collects 66% of all child support while states absorb 34% illegally. The only FEDERAL Laws practiced in states are immigration Laws. This program violates the rights of citizens paying into the illegal practice by way of driver license suspensions and accumulations or FALSE DEBT in the name of "child support arrears." Your inalienable rights are being violated when someone limits your movement , falsify documents in the manner or affidavits and restrict your ability to work by license
      suspensions.
No matter ho we slice this, this government has no right to impose false debt and financial castration upon men who become BANKRUPT over policies and "acts" meant to subjugate and bend into financial submission.
If you have been harmed by child support, you deserve FULL RESTITUTION end of story.

My wife and I are from Louisiana. Back when Senator Kennedy was the tresurer for Louisiana, I found my wife's name on his list of people that were owed money. Mt wife had changed jobs a year earlier and her final pay check for a couple of weeks was there. Apparently the enployer's accountant did not think it was needed to send the check to her by mail. Anyway, we got the money. Had we not made the claim after a period the state could have claimed the money. John Kennedy is right, the United States government has dropped the ball here. @@publicdomain3378 Greenbacks (named as they were printed black and white on the front and green on the back) were created as emergency paper currency during the civil war, even though it was never based upon anything tangible like gold or silver reserves nor created by private banks, but rather a "promissory" (or Demand Notes and United States notes) from congress to promise to pay in coin. The fight after control of the countries financing is what led to such a long civil war and to Lincolns assassination. It was after that the "Greenback" was voted by congress in 1866 to be backed by gold and began to have real value in trade and finance. As well the birth of Chase Bank.

@@publicdomain3378 Yeah...made of gold and silver, which had vanished from circulation in 1862 (which by happen stance is when the note was created). In 1862, the greenback dollar could not be directly traded for gold coins. However, by December 1878, the silver dollar, gold dollar, and greenback dollar were freely interchangeable at the same value on the open market. If the fund ran out of allocated money to honor that note, you had to wait until the next allocation approval from congress to be reimbursed. That is why they backed the greenback with what is in the reserves, so it continues to hold value. Its just a form of trade.

What I can't figure out is when I was working a job I'd get a reward for doing a good job in regards to completing tasks or maybe we're filling out all the orders that came in that would be where I would get a raise how come it is the Senate feels like to get a raise for over budgeting our country raising the deficit to such an extent that's going to take 4 years just to get it back under control why should the Senate get a raise?

The hourly employee do not receive a percentage increase so why does Government and State employees feel like they deserve that amount of increase? Shouldn't theirs be based on the same as ours by their performance based raises. If they fail to inprove and help our countries finances they should feel it too.

10 years ago I was cleaning out some old boxes and found 2 $25 savings bonds from the 1970s. Turned them into my bank and got $144. They continue to earn interest for quite a while. Paid $18.75 each originally. 😊

These government agencies will spend, spend, spend. When the end of the fiscal year is approaching. They say if they don't use it, they lose it. That's why they get a bigger budget every year. The American taxpayers are truly being used in a certain way as slaves. God's government is happy with 10% tax compared to taxed to nothing. Some people are literally living paycheck to paycheck, and that has to be very scary.

They said I had do all kinds of things, including mailing it to the Government. And I was thinkingggg yeah right, they will claim they never got it. Sooo I’ve just kept it as a collectable.

    LAW OF THE LAND
The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the ap- pearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U. S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for a law which violates the Constitution to be valid. This is succinctly stated as follows:
"All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void." Marbury vs. Madison, 5 US (2 Cranch) 137, 174, 176, (1803)

The credit unions do not accept them. And to cash in my oldest childs bonds the Bank made us open a bank account to cash them, cause they would not cash unless had acct with them. We got fhe money and quickly closed the acct. All for a couple hundred $. Luckilly she was using for college otherwise it was taxed. My other kids not cashed in you cause such a hassle. And theirs would be taxed.

Federal employees automatically getting annual pay increases even if their performance doesn't deserve it, is insane. The private sector might only get 2.5% and that's based on performance or they might not get a raise at all.
