The Fire King bowls look so sleek and practical. Why don't they make more bowls like that today? It looks like it would be easier to hold and double as a pouring spout. The Sears catalog was a highlight for me. I'm pretty sure I looked at Catalog from that year a time or two because it looks so familiar. To be sure, I'd have to pursue the toy section though. LOL! I'm not a smoker but the graphics on the matchbooks are so fun and mid-century looking. They look cute in what looks like a milk glass ashtray. What a good way to repurpose something! Very nice haul all around.
Hi KS K. I have a few of those milk glass ashtrays. I use them as trinket dishes rather than their original purpose. I thought the graphics on the matches looked nicely vintage and good for fireplace decor, and to use. As a kid it was so much fun looking through those catalogs for toys. Those were the days.
