I loved the gutter. fun fact: if you light up all the sconces, an enemy spaws that drops the set with one of the best defences. I probably spent over an hour or two just looking for sconces until I almost knew the place my heart.
black gulch on the other hand, hated it. it's sad you didn't find lucatiel there, but there's almost next place for you to find her to progress her questline.
another tip, but it might be late: if you hold down the item button, it automatically goes to first in slot, which is usually the flask, and lifegems are healing the same amount as poison poisons you. so if you get poisoned, pop a lifegem (don't be too careful about using them. they're infinite) and you don't have to use a moss.

I’ll have to revisit the gutter and try and find them all. I liked it as well and I did not like the black gulch that much but it wasn’t the worst because I summoned some npc’s down there
