I knew doing nails wasn’t easy, but dang once I started doing my own it’s SO time consuming/meticulous. Definitely makes me so much more appreciative of the hard work and dedication nail artists put into their craft ✨
How your nails doing 2 years later?? I just started and the nails always ends up popping off (like it’ll lift at the edges). When I apply the tips, I file it down and blend it BEAUTIFULLY, and I use a primer.

I think it’s mostly about learning the hygiene protocols. And also getting a certificate to be able to legally do client nails. I studied and felt ripped off but most salons only take in people with certificates so I’m ok with spending the money just to be able to work in this kind of industry.

I love this type of coffin shape that you did. A lot of times when I get my nails done the nail ladies file the sides too much and they end up looking really ugly and thin☹️
Tell them you want coffin by not too narrow and show them a picture. I got mine done today and since I wanted them quite short I didn't want the coffin shape to be too narrow so when she was looking for the small scissors to cut the side I asked her to file them into the shape I wanted instead of cutting the sides then filing them because if she did cut the sides they would end up super thin and looking weird So yeah, I like the shape I got you just have to speak up and say exactly what you want

Honestly I’m 15 and I just started nails , bought all the acrylic powder , primer , liquid , brushes , tip cutter , literally everything, and for a beginner I think that I’ve done pretty well :)

Natalie Carmona You're absolutely right in the sense that if the acrylic tip is too small it will eventually pop off but it also could crack down the middle. But if you get water under your nails fungus will start growing under the nail. If that happens it will eventually damage the natural nail plate just like if you have a hang nail and you don't remove it will cause permanent damage to your natural nail plate. I'm a licensed hairstylist so you can trust everything I'm saying.
