Don’t keep your games sealed. Open them, play them. They were made by people who wanted you to enjoy them. The physical game market and all that it represents for media and ownership isn’t going to benefit shifting further into a collectibles market. Publishers are already taking advantage of it and keeping games sealed and inflating the secondary market just to make an extra buck off another gamer who wants to own and play their games only hastens our losses.
For fuck's sake people, do NOT buy any game with the idea of leaving it sealed on your shelf. If you want to grow your wealth, get a financial advisor and invest in stock. Video games are meant to be PLAYED, for FUN...
Finally, a smart comment. As an equities investor of over 10 years and crypto for 7, video games are hardly a means for financial freedom. Even if it were somewhat profitable, I really doubt the gains would be realized as much as the crypto sector as an example, barring you invest in something of worth. For context, in 2020, I got into Quant at $90. I then sold just over a year later at $350. The returns in utility crypto and as crypto utility and real world use gains traction, there is opportunity there to make money. Took me 10 years to reach 6 figures with my equities portfolio. It took me a shy over 1 year with Quant to make just over a 6 figure return. There are opportunities out there to make money. You just gotta do your due diligence and have patience.
I'm a switch collector and the ESRB copy tax is so real. There are tons of examples of this where games in Japan or EU are half the price of the esrb version.
I just picked up Crymachina, the re-print of Mary Skelter 2 which is a good deal as it has the 1st game on the cartridge as well as Rhapsody Marl Kingdom Chronicles. All 3 games I bought from Video Games Plus. I can see Crymachina being a hidden gem like Crystar before it, even though the Switch port was really well done no body talks about it. The game has it's issues sure but the OST and Story are on point.
I literally came here to ask, since when was there a US version of chrono cross?! Thought I missed something and needed to to go buy it immediately.. lol
I got all 3 atelier ryza & disgaea 1,4,5 & 6 which are rare as of now(also picked up astral chain after having sold it 3 years ago🤡) glad I started hunting for switch titles in time.
Dragon Quest Treasures isn’t a bad title. I’ll give it a 6.5. The gameplay kinda reminds me of the N64 Zelda game but not as impressive. The battling system in the game is weak.
Problem is the hi-fidelity trails games like reverie and cold steel IV (and III to some extent) and the new one (daybreak?) have real noticeable and functional performance issue on switch. Personally the worst I'm willing to accept from the switch hardware is a couple frames being dropped in certain places, a shorter draw distance, and some longer load times. More than that and I'm out.
It will never be rare but the import copy that has the dlc and every patch on the cartridge will and it plays In english. I got me a copy and keeping sealed
@@zerorequiem42 the switch version of pokemon diamond and pearl will be lol not every copy though specific ones will be. The sword and shield with dlc will be. Violet and scarlet will be if they release a version with both dlc on cartridge. They fucked up hard with that one.
I know there isn't. I was simply talking about all the games in general. Persona 3 and Persona 4 I definitely covered in a previous video I think. But yeah, mybad if I missed it.
I had to import the PAL version of the Crossbell games because the North American versions are hard to find in stores and extremely overpriced, plus I don't want to download them.
Thanks for watching guys! PLEASE leave suggestions on how to make this series better and I'll add them in if I can!
I would be curious to hear your opinion on any Japanese exclusive Switch games that got a physical release, even if they're not an RPG!
Legend of Mana is on Switch too. I'm sure it'll be rare and expensive later on

@@cbgg1585 but sadly people will say let those collect how they want to and spend there money how they want 🙄
So you don't understand the concept or enjoyment from collecting and think they all have reselling in mind.
Got it.

Yeah, it's wild 😆

What is the game at 0:02 where they are fighting a beholder?
That’s Legend of Heroes Trails to Azure, the sequel to Trails from Zero.
I believe for the Chrono Cross Radical Dreamer Edition was only available physically in SEA (no rating on box). Love your content btw😀
I literally came here to ask, since when was there a US version of chrono cross?! Thought I missed something and needed to to go buy it immediately.. lol
Yeah, that is true! It's easy to pick on Amazon
Wtf I didn’t even realize Crymachina released
can you maybe show the game covers from time to time?
I try to put art of the game in the title but I can definitely add that.
@@Playeressence that be cool, great job anyway
Every time you make these types of videos, I end up buying a game 😭
Either I get one or planning on it, and OJ give me that little push just to do it
Sorry for burying your wallet 😆
Does anyone know if World of Horror got a physical release for ps4 or switch or is it digital only?
Bro loving these episodes oj keep it up man❤
Thanks! Will do!
I don’t know if you mentioned it on another list, but I would include Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster
He has mentioned it before. That is a good one to have on the shelf.
I think Fate Samurai Remnant could be on the list among other Koei Tecmo games.
I like these buy before rare videos, it always give me a bit of insight.
What is the very first game that it's show in the video?
STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R
@@ilacegod1053no, it's another game
this was a great video, thanks for putting Chrono Cross on my Switch radar
No problem dude! Thanks for watching ❤️
Maybe i shouldn't have traded in my copy of digimon. So many games on the backlog though.
I got all 3 atelier ryza & disgaea 1,4,5 & 6 which are rare as of now(also picked up astral chain after having sold it 3 years ago🤡) glad I started hunting for switch titles in time.

Yeah, definitely not bad. Just a few flaws here and there.
I always thought Nipón Ishi and Atlus we're the same don't know why
Can anyone identify the game that is at the very beginning of the of the video It looks like a tactical game ?

Love the series but some make no sense like breath of the wild.. it sold 30+ million copies something that much sold will never be rare.
I was covering physical game sales. That's why it was included.
It will never be rare but the import copy that has the dlc and every patch on the cartridge will and it plays In english. I got me a copy and keeping sealed
I thought the same thing about Pokemon games. Everyone is buying them, they won't be expensive or hold value.
I was wrong lol.

Chrono Cross didn’t have a physical release in the US, did it?
No physical in the US
@@Playeressence Then why did you say to get the US physical release? Did you mean to say the Asian English release?
I thought Chrono Cross doesn't have an ESRB/US version? The physical version is an Asian exclusive.
9:23 what is name of game
There is not ESRB version of Chrono Cross lol. Also still not brining up P4G and P3P is an L, preorders are about to close

Thanks man! I appreciate it!

You don't even list where you can get them for these prices
mostly on Amazon
I said Amazon for the prices. I'll make sure to list that on the info on screen next time.
I mean the prices fluctuate thats why they are rare dude 😂😂😂. Its just his opinion on what you should look out for. There is no definite price wtf?
lol dude it takes a simple google search to find these games. The prices can vary. He’s simply informing us.
