I was 16 years old at the ‘96 ABANA conference in Asheville, NC. I spent hours watching Pete carving the Francis Whitaker angel that went on top of the chest while he patiently explained the how and why if each step that went into the project, the whole time wearing his patient order of metalsmith’s hat made out of a brown paper bag. It was inspiring to see, and was part of turning me on to a life long career in metalworking. Thanks Pete!
You folks have been constantly inspiring to me. I'm just a novice, but have attended several of Tom's classes over the years.I have learned many of these skills that I have applied for many years now. Thank you all!!!
I was fortunate enough to have watched Pete and the POMM in Memphis 2010 ABANA conference. They were truly an inspiration to me, and I am so thankful for getting to talk to them and see the techniques they use to create such wonderful works of art. Thank you Drew and Pete for this video with the back story on the lock.
I'm in a TH-cam vortex on Peter Renzetti...thanks for making it possible. Lol Funny, when I attended Hobart Institute, during my titanium tight welding class, I started playing with the puddle and made attended turtle, then a man, then a fish complete with scales from weld ripples.....20 yes later, I'm a custom fabricator/artist in central Ohio, and somehow only now learning about Peter and his puddle people....and ALL the other skill he exudes. National treasure indeed.
Wonderful work. A bit off topic, but is his left ear pierced? With his head facing the way it is, every once in a while I keep seeing something like a gold loop or something. It’s fine either way, I’m just curious. Gives him a pirate vibe or a cool grandad in supporting a grandchild in some way.
