But, I've been an advocate of patience with AP. We haven't had stability and continuity since the days of Madden and Flores. This century has been nothing but dysfunction especially the last several years. It will NEVER change unless you stop the coaching carousel. You can't switch coaching staffs every year or two. Hell, it takes that long just to get a culture, system and players in place so you can win games and be competitive. AP is the first coach (outside of Gruden) who I think is actually a "Raider." It is pure nonsense and irrational to think he isn't the guy after 5 games. For once in years (including the Gruden years), the Raiders finally had a good draft class. The culture is turning around and there is forward progress. It will take another year to clear out the decades of dysfunction within the organization. Then we can compete and knock the Chiefs off the throne in the AFC West. The one thing our society lacks in these days is PATIENCE. It shows with all the comments, whining and complaining in these chats and in the national sports media. Yesterday, one ESPN "Know it all" even predicted AP will be the next HC fired in season! Really??? To all naysayers I say: STOP and take a deep breath! Like Hondo says, if we are in this position this time next year, we can start the talk. Until then.........BE PATIENT.
