This song reminds me of my ex. We dated on and off for 7 years. He always came back when he felt uncomfortable,which was unfair to me. I moved on and felt guilty at the time,and left that guy. After 7 years of this bullshit I now realize he is the problem. I have the right to be happy,no more of this guilty shit. I always felt bad for him. Never go back to someone because you feel bad, it will fuck you up in the end.

What i got from this video: He was drowning from all the feelings that he felt, and she was out of his sight.... But then soon after he fell again, went back to her and she let him in. Well, she wasn't happy to see him because she didnt fall as hard as he did. She remembers everything, and she begins to soak up what he had felt. But as soon as they try to restart, and momentum kicks in, she realized that she didnt feel what he did, and left him to drown again, leaving him in the tiny puddle, (to her), but in the middle of the ocean, (to him). "But it's never gonna change."

Had the privilege of seeing Broods in Dunedin last night and took my son to his first concert ever. Fantastic choice. They opened with this and Georgia was spellbinding. Fans for life.

I heard this 9 years ago when I finally woke up and realized my relationship was never gonna be the same as it once was when we first met. It got me through my struggle. I still listen to this song and look back as if I could not have did it without this song. Best choice I ever made was walk away from someone who was drowning me.
When you listen to Broods, there is no way that you won't like them. I love their music! Their music is passionate, and gets you feeling the passion, too. Haha some of the songs on their album have me dancing. Her voice is amazing, too.

if you think about it the meaning of the song and the video are so powerful.. and I love how they use water to represent stress.. I may be wrong but that is my observation. he cant go anywhere or do anything without these emotions pouring themself out of him . i mean they arent meant to stay in there , and theyre likely traumatic and my guess is a result of guilt . need to squeeze out that wash cloth in life if we want to be able to absorb experience without constantly losing something from trying which is what hes doing just losing the joy of his experience cause this emotion constantly pours out of him wherever he goes

+Aline Guimarães. From my interpretation, it seems as if it is a couple who is struggling to get over one another. The way in which they start "dripping wet" is the overwhelming emotions and initial feelings coming back. Because of this, they are beginning to "drown" with one another again which is due to the unhealthy bond they have to one another hence, 'it's never gonna change"....even though it is very clear that they want to be free from one another.
"But we're still tugging on each other, and tearing at the frame of loose ends".....they want to let go...but they just can't......they know they'll go down if they stay together and continue on with the sexual tension they hold for one another, but "it's never gonna feel like it's done"
They can't life with each other, but they can't life without each other either.
