Thank you soo much I have a SRM 230 same procedure....I have another problem though the kill switch broke and I am trying "fish" the old cable out. I am thinking I need to remove the shaft to get the grip off. Thanks again, I never could of done this without this video!!!
@warhead300 i looked up info on it and it appears it is a non adjustable carb. a lot of carbs are now like that. you may want to open it to clean it up.
I have an Echo SRM 2100 trimmer. Over the years I have taken very good care of it...rebuilt carb when necessary....changed plug etc. Lately its been hard starting and when I get it running I get a shock when I touch metal near the carb area. Could I have a bad wire or is something else going on? Thanks
donyboy, now please show us how to replace the throttle lockout lever, in particular how in the heck the throttle-lockout spring is supposed to go back in. That one little spring is stymying me; I’m pulling out my hair. No videos anywhere dedicated to this issue, but I’m certain I’m not alone.
@donyboy73 can you make a video of how to do it when you get your equipment back out for the spring? I would try to do it myself but I would hate to accidentally screw something up
I put the trottle trigger back on but I don't know how to put back the spring on the trottle release on the bottom Barth at controls the trigger can somebody help me.

@warhead300 try adjusting the carb
@warhead300 does the throttle mechanism move on the carb when you press the trigger? these carbs have no adjustment except for idling
@warhead300 did u try your gas yet? also if it keeps up try taking off the muffler and look at the piston and rings to see if they are scored
@warhead300 i go 40:1, ur engine will last longer. i use metric here, 100 ml to 4 lites of gas (1 gallon)
@warhead300 i don't have it near me so if you can post a clear vid then i could tell you
yes I am. I try to help out people this way
