I understand where the people who are mesmerized by him are coming from. This man is the only thing thst helps me to sleep. I have had insomnia for 20 years. Just listening to him talk is meditative for me. I hope I get to meet him one day. He is so down to earth....and unpretentious

I think Arnab got him to accept himself as a great personality. At many points Arnab made him feel great for himself. He agrees 'Yes, may be because I am clean inside and out' . With all the good things one does, Ego can stump him. May God bless him. People need good gurus. Let Ravishankar ji be saved from even a little ego arrest him.

Aham does not refer to one self inside or out. It has nothing to do with the body or the mind. I respect Sri Sri Ravishankar for his sincere wish to serve humanity. I will follow him to any extent but I wish to save him because I am not a realized soul and I think I can help him with my little wish to help him - no matter how small. I know him for long time and I love him for his sincere efforts.
I agree when Sri Sri says that with British there was sensitivity and fasts could work but not now-a-days. We have rogues as our leaders, how could these rogues be bothered about a fasting person when they don't care about mayhem, murders and people dying from hunger and suicides.
Sri Sri is right about spiritual leaders responsibility to lay facts and not direct. It is the responsibility of the population to direct and from political leaders to seek guidance from population not just votes. When both don't do that, both people and political leaders are abdicating their responsibility.

I find Yogi Bhajan is the no 1 genius. Kundalin Yoga is awesome and so are Sikhs. The Gur Granth restors the ancient Vedic teaching that were corrupted by Pundits and updates themn for our modern times, thus no meaningless rituals, no polluting the Ganga river with mercury and lead painted Ganeshas!
Osho is the no 1 genius to have walked on earth in this age. you need to hear him to understand him. USnVvatican have always been conspirator agnst hinduism. Swwami Nithyanada is also one example.
Like he said working style of a saint is different. It has its pros and cons. And might I point out that campus shootings also happen in USA...

He has grabbed poor dalit land and constructed his ashram.His role during Lok Pal agitations should be probed. During Tsunami he helped uppercastes ONLY. Such a shame, he also reportedly backed off peace talks b/w Sri-Lanka-Tamil issue after learning all SL tamils are lower castes.

so only rich can learn the art of living by paying the money and poor will have to wait for a disaster to get benefit of that money. movies are different thing they are also for rich only. which poor go for a movie in Malls which charges a lot, you know student like me don't go for a movie in malls but we watch movie after downloading for free.
Sometimes, one needs to pay a premium for a quality service. I agree that many people might find it difficult to afford the classes but then, think about it. If there are hundreds of people in one class, can they maintain the same quality? Somewhere, the efficiency of the program would go down.

Well, Yoga is something thats worth endorsing. Its one of the biggest exports of Indian culture to the rest of the world and we should feel proud of it. Secondly, the expenses of the art of living course is strictly to keep the head count less in the classes. Whats the problem with that?

Ravishankar keeps saying that his new (patented?) SK technique was "revealed" to him after 10 DAYS SILENCE.Why does he not admit to the truth ? That he took a 10 Day Vipassana course ?Is he afraid that his students will abandon him and go to Vipassana.The teacher of Vipassana Mr Goenka (no Sri Sri pompous prefixes please, just Mr.) cautions us to watch out for these Gurus who promise to take us to Salvation or to a higher spiritual place by creating a dependency on them. Isn't Ravishankar afraid of being exposed by his disclosure of the truth ?

Guys I strongly believe that Art of Living is doing great things for the betterment of the society ..my view on the charity carried out by AOL is amazing ..at the Same time don’t forget the money collected by AOL is not spent in entirety for the welfare ..it is indeed used for personal pleasure and Joy by Sri Sri himself.
Check out this interview ...he is sitting in a star hotel in Mumbai and he travels in Private Jet .Where does the money come from.?
He is a businessman.. no doubt and let’s accept the fact and there is nothing wrong or against on part of Sri Sri ..well he collects money from people in the name of donation and he spends a part of which on to charity for that matter almost every corporates does CSR activity...so no new or special which AOL is doing.
Now comes an important questions to all those blind followers ...is it possible to get me a copy of their yearly Financials ..check out by urself if possible and let me know what you think.

i have only one problem with sri sri..... his organisation charge people too much for their courses (yesplus and all)... my point is everybody cant pay this much
( Rs.2000-3000) just for a course of a week. the part of society( the poor) which needs it cant afford it . if its for the betterment of the world then why not for free.... other thing they ask not share with other whatever they teach (sudarshankriya and all ), but there nothing special in it. you can find so many video of it on youtube.. i think they ask people not to share it with others only to collect more and more money...
I have attended the Yes Plus course and I also feel that asking for not to share it is not at all a good thing, definitely not a way to spread the message the right way. I agree with you completely

i would like to ask u that, r u rally asking this question for urself or for the poor people ,because if u are asking this for poor people then i would like to add something ...do u know there are more than 300 tribal free schools art of living running which not only provides education but also food , do u know there are more than 10000 villeges art of living has adopted for development ,farmer sucided in vidarbha are solved by art of living voluentters who work there for day and night to save them by helping them to harvest water,to do organic farming ,do u knw art of living works in 151 nations ,art of living works for tsunami relief ,it works for almost every natural calimity not only in india but across the globe ,
i have done YES AND YES+ workshop and i think the knowlege they are giving there is just cant be compared to the donation ,infact i feel happy that they are giving us such a great workshop and also uses our money for the service to people (as u want to help poor people), see its very easy to sit at home and thinking that ohh why god creates poor people ,ohh why tsunami had stuck ,ohh why childrens are dying out of starving .but its much more difiicult to work for them .how much money u spend on watching a movie and how much on internet u used ,then why u think that this knowlege should be given to u free of cost..i have experianced that ..and i proud to be the part of such a great organisation...

Rahul Sharma u cant justify taking such a huge amount of money in name on fee only ... they can ask to donate how much a person wants....but they are imposing it on people that they have to pay 2000-3000 rupees... if yu are willing to donate then yu do , but if someone is not willing he shouldnt be asked to pay or donate.....and also poor people are everywhere in india, you can give money directly to them instead of giving this money to art of living.... and how do you defend asking students not to share the teachings with others????
exactly!! rajvir dhanoa I agree with you completely. I have attended YES + and I have full respect for it but even I cant see a reason for asking us not to share anything about the workshop. Also I didn't like the fact that they tried to make me a vegetarian by saying that Einsten and Newton were veg. too! That's just like trying to brainwash a kid!

All Babas, Gurus, Maharajas are just frauds…. .but Buddha made a invaluable research on human mind. He is the first ever Scientist, Psychologist who made basic research on Mind that nobody has done so far. Comments made by Albert Einsteine on Buddha in this respect are memorial …..
Very well said. Buddha is the only true guru you can find, whose teachings are out of the world. The Vedic truths and science coincide to know the truth about mind, existence. All other godly men only have the agenda of popularity, and less of doing good.

In USA, UK, good laws create a better soceity (curb corruption, improve healthcare/education/security etc.). In USA, racism against african americans or violence against women was not curbed by some teaching or stories by a Guru. It was a strict laws and transparency. Same for traffic management. So Swami ji, please use your connection to the powerful (God/businessmen/politicians or other swamis) and help in exposing corruption in politics and educate the masses to participate in politics.

Does this work anywhere in the world including sectors such as schools, colleges, hospitals, coaching workshops? You can't decide how much you will pay even to beggars - they reject alms below a minimum! Secondly, aren't the yoga teachers supposed to lead a decent life taking care of spouse and children? Don't they have expenses to cover, both personal and yoga school related? It is high time that we stop expecting the yoga teachers, the priests and the like to be at the mercy of others who will decide how much they will pay!!

The above guy Shri Shri Ravi Shankar himself was an ENGLISH MEDIUM school educated. The VERNACULAR MEDIUM EDUCATED HINDU speaks funny ENGLISH (If at all).
