My new favourite channel, after watching literally hundreds of editing videos over the years you've just shown how simple it can actually be - Thanks very much Will :)
Hello from Oz, I'm still trying to get my head around the editing stages of photography but the more I watch your videos the easier it becomes, great work thanks Will.
Brilliant video as usual and I 100% agree with the social media comment we let it put to much pressure on us to get better photos instead of enjoying being in the natural environment
Hey Will, I’ve just noticed that you look like the young Russel Crowe from the Gladiator era 😀 Your videos are awesome btw…I’ve watched them so many times, keep up the good work! Thanks for guiding us!
Great video! I watch loads of camera, photography, and editing videos and this is one of the best I've seen so far. I don't use lightroom so this was perfect for me. Great tip on adjusting the slider before brushing and then tweak it afterwards. Thanks!
It’s like watching the magic happen in real time! I just caught your last video yesterday when the pup was sleeping, you said woooo and she opened her eyes and said, what am I missing! So had to go out and exercise the psycho out of her right away🤣🙈
THank you for sharing your vast array of photography editing knowledge, it's not just having the tools but knowing how to use them. I always learn something new from these tutorials, THANKS, love your work!
Another excellent video demonstrating the effective use of the "adjustment brush", visual distance, and atmospheric perspective, all of which bring you image to life. I enjoy the speed at which you guide us throught the process. I'm learning so much. Thank you.
Hello William. It's me again ... sorry! I wish I could send you an image which represents much that I've learnt from your videos. Thanks again for all your expert tuition on Utube. Daniel@@WilliamPatinoPhotography
This was so relaxing, like painting with Bob Ross. Also made me aware of some things I never thought of like bringing up the darks for distant parts to make it realistic. I'll have to try that on my next edit.
Great video. Super useful. Love your approach and the way you explain. I am learning so much. Editing is not my strongest point so thank you. I have improved so much in a few months.
I see the light! LOL. Pun intended. Thoroughly enjoyed the ease of explanation and how it "just makes sense"!! Had to play with a couple of images before I commented and it really impacted the way I'll do my workflow. Thank you!!!
I was just looking at one of my recent photos which is bright in the foreground and dark in the background and couldn't come up with a good answer for how to fix it. I'll try again now that I've seen these tips.
@@WilliamPatinoPhotographylooking at that photo again, the tonal difference between foreground and background is too high to fix. More importantly, it's a bad composition. The foreground does not connect with the background at all despite thinking it would be brilliant when itook the photo. Oh well, that happens sometimes but I have you video saved in my photo tips playlist and look guest's to using it. Thanks for the great tips.
Thanks it's a good video! When you brighten up dark parts, don't you also get problems with noise? I often come across this problem, denoise may help a bit of course, just depends on how much you brighten up
Thanks. Depends on the camera, iso and amount of shadow recovery you do. Definitely older camera models will struggle more, but anything made in the last 5 years will generally have a good enough dynamic range to reveal the details with minimal noise. That’s also why you want to come in with a file not too underexposed. Cheers :)
Thanks for the vid. I'm still using LR6 + an older version of AP with the last AP update being in 2018. Just to be clear, Camera Raw does everything LRC does as far the editing goes & minus the cataloging features, Y/N?
Thank you for this video. Can you recommend a color calibration tool for my 16” MacBook Pro M1? Something that has no issues updating itself to newest versions. TY

I've never tried that technique but it looks interesting, going to give it a go. Thanks
