- Hang on tight for this one! We found a mountain coaster in Helen, Georgia and it was the most fun we've had in a long time!! We stayed at Tallulah Gorge State Park which was absolutely beautiful. We attempted a unique hike (Steph and the river didn't get along 😆), laughed harder than we have in forever, and really had an amazing trip 🥰

@@lifererouted I appreciate your interest in our quaint little hamlet. We are unique. We are a incorporated town. Our own water system police and fire department. A Mayor and town council. We only have 168 residents according to the latest census report. The Tallulah Falls school actually has more students than we have residents. It's a very interesting place.

Just now watching this one! But been following for a little while. We were in Helen and did the alpine coaster in March and it was so fun! We also visited Amicalola Falls and drove to Dahlonega and Dawsonville. North GA is a beautiful place, we loved it!

I haven't been to Helen yet, but someday I will get there. I'm only a few hours away, in TN. In May, I stayed at COE campground, Old Federal, on Lake Lanier. My all time favorite campground so far! I loved lounging in my tiny camper's bed, and watching the boats go by, through my window. Gorgeous.
You should! It's a neat place. We still haven't stayed at a COE. I honestly forget to check for them!

We live in GA. North GA is great 👍🏻 if you are still in the area, Duke Creek falls is a great falls near Helen. My family will be camping near Tallulah Gorge this weekend.

I went to Helen quite a few years ago and loved it. We panned for gold and gems and tubes down the river. Have safe and fun travels

That is way too crazy! My wife and I were just there at the campground in Tallulah Falls, GA Sunday & Monday night. And yes we were soar after our hike also. :)

It was seriously so surprisingly beautiful to us! Thank you Jane 🥰 She couldn't do a lot of the things on this trip - the hike wasn't dog friendly and she didn't like the rain when we went to Helen 😢 But she made great friends with ours neighbors and enjoyed our evening campfires ❤

My husband and I hiked the gorge a few years ago. The guy looked at my husband and I and said you’re going to get wet!!!! Which we did😁. It was very challenging to traverse the river and then climb up the rocks at the end!!!
Haha that guy definitely right - I don't think there's any way to do it without getting wet! So cool that you did the trail and the rock scramble, that's intense!
That looks so awesome. We definitely need to go there soon. We go to north GA all the time, Hiawassee, where stay at a great campground. But Helen is a great little town also. Went there recently and had lunch at this place right over the bridge on the river. Good good food. Haha. But definitely gotta go check the gorge out. Thanks for sharing!

As punny as it is, "gorgeous" is appropriate. Loved the Khali-view out the back window in the intro. Way to go FULL GOAT on the coaster! Any idea if the state park has any wheelchair-friendly trails?
It really was GORGE-ous😂 She's really the star of the show, we just film it all! Great question! There is a trail that connects the campground to the other side of the park (there's another smaller side on the other side of the road.) It's all paved, and I think you could take the trail over to the other side and see the water at the top of the dam. gastateparks.org/TallulahGorge/Trails Here's a trail map if you're interested. We have a mountain coaster at Bogus Basin ski resort 30 minutes from downtown Boise, Idahome.

How was West End Brewing? Would love to know how you find hair salons during your travels? So jealous. Midwestern weather has been HORRIBLE this spring! We've switched from hiking boots to trail running shoes and it's made a huge difference.
Well spotted - we couldn't remember what brewery we went to and weren't sure what you meant at first 😅 it was good! The beer was good plus that area is really dog friendly 🐶 honestly it's a lot of Google review research and if I'm on assignment asking my coworkers! But it's definitely a struggle lol. Ugh hoping for better weather for you soon!
been to Hillen a couple of times but never rode the coaster. My wife is scared of hights.
Totally understandable! Mike doesn't like coasters or heights either, but he was glad he tried it!

We have our vacation mountain home in the north Georgia mountains about 30 minutes from Helen. We absolutely love it up there. Did you go to the frog lounge along the river?
