However, we all suddenly had girls coming on to us afterwards, so at the start we were loving it. We started doing gigs round Belfast, not because we were good, but it increased the chance of getting a girl. However, after a while it became depressing. It wasn't that they liked you or the band, it was more about the fact you played on a 'stage' (no matter how small, and every stage we played was bloody small!). As mates first, we were brought up knowing a girl cant fall in love and marry someone for life that they want s*x with on the first or 2nd time you meet up with them, because it means they weren't brought up to respect their worth. We avoided wasting years with someone whose upbringing failed them. As a 41 year old man, my heart goes out to girls who continue the pattern. MJ's songs give us all lessons! RIP KINGofPOP GOAT!!!

I was 12,living in South Africa and also swept by the mania. At my school a fight broke out when someone said that MJ wasn't as good a dancer as his hired dancers since he couldn't do the splits.. Actually he couldn't!
