Ariel, you like Orwell? Who knew? You never mention him, ever! ;) My top 3 books this year: #3 The Diviners, #2 Fangirl and #1 The Encyclopedia of Early Earth! Okay, might as well mention Clash Of Kings too! :D And most disappointing reads are If I Stay and Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hours Bookstore... Both okay, but both not as good as I expected...
Guillermo Andrade they are really great reads, i had to read them in school but i honest loved them which never really happens for me with school reads. Still to this day I'm a junior in high school (my school is block schedule so i finished my english 11 class for this school year all of the 3 required novel classics) 1984 and animal farm are some of my all time favorites
Imani Rochelle I live in Mexico, you guys have something I hope that our school system had, reading for an asigment even is kinda weird sometimes, in some cases like yours brings really good books to you that you wouldn't even guest you'll love but you do, I wish I had that growing up, but I didn't you guys are so lucky. I'm planning to buy those, I want to read some classics
You've made me intrigued for Keep the Aspidistra Flying. I read 1984, Animal Farm, Down & Out, and a bunch of essays years ago but then kind of gave up because I really needed a break from the bleakness (especially after Down & Out) so a maybe sort of optimistic ending would be crazy!
This is a great overview of your year of reading! Thank you for including your least favorite books of the year as well! I really enjoyed Isla, it might be in my favorites, but I appreciate honest reviews. And I strangely love to hear what people disliked about books I loved, it helps me to see if I was judging a book for what it actually was or based on other people, the author, or the circumstances under which I read the book. So I wish more people discussed their worst reads. Great video, Ariel! -Trina
Ariel, you're so inspiring! The books you read and your enthusiasm about them makes me wanna pick them up too! Hope 2015 is an even bigger and better reading year for you and for all of us. Happy new year! :)
I found your channel during last years christmas booktubethon! Actually, for some strange reason, I had never thought about the fact that people could do videos about books as well as about makeup or whatever. And so I found booktube, through a blog, and your video was the first I ever watched, and I loved it. I freakin' loved it so much. Through the year I've found a lot of cool booktubers, but I really like your videos. Not just because your awesome (!) but because you like to discuss, you have thoughts you want to share and that you do share and when you do it's really something worth thinking about. Okay, enough ramblings from me, just wanted to say thank YOU for doing all the videos that you do, in your own way! Happy new year, Ariel! Can't wait to see what's coming in 2015!
i think by the end of this year everybody who watches you has decided to read at least one of his books, including myself! so thank you ariel! happy new year ^^
Congratulations on such a fantastic year! I'm really looking forward to more of your videos in the new year :) And hearing about your new adventures :) x
I never read much but did enjoy certain books I have read. Only this much I began to read and I think I have found the best youtuber to get me excited to continue reading.
Ariel: This is the first year reading has been a habit for me but books have always been present in my life. I would like to thank you for inspiring me to continue reading and sharing my passion for it. You are awesome and I hope to see you through the screen a lot more! :)
AHHH! I agree with you for Isla and the Happily Ever After. I was so - ugh. It was so heartbreaking for me. I REALLY wanted to love it 'cause Josh deserves it. so heartwrenching /sobbing
I feel like this year I read way too many mediocre books that I had really been looking forward too and that had been really hyped up - and more often than not I've found myself quite disapointed. So I plan to really turn it around in 2015 and put a lot more thought and care in to the books i choose to read and buy, and hopefully branch out into some new genres :) Thanks for a great year Ariel!
Ariel, you are just the sweetest! I love your videos, you always give me new book ideas (to read). You are so passionate about books, it makes me so happy :)
I get so excited whenever you upload a video, I love your energy and positivity! Keep up the great videos, Ariel! My favourite books of the year were My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece by Annabel Pitcher, Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson, Cress by Marissa Meyer, Star Cursed by Jessica Spotswood and Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi! I read 82 books total and enjoyed most of them, there were no really big disappointments! One resolution I have for next year is to read more classics, I only read one this year and that is pathetic! Here's to 2015!
I read 104 books this year and it was such an adventure! I discovered 2 of my all time now favourite authors (Gabrielle Zevin & Harlan Coben) and had the most amazing time devouring all their works. I've read 2 Orwell books and I loved them both, but your channel is what is really inspiring me to read more of his stuff in 2015...
my favourite book of the year was 1984 by George Orwell! Like you, i found that i really understood his writing and concepts in the book, and it made me think about a lot of different things. He is a genius. Pure genius.
Ariel your love for Orwell helps feed and grow my love of Orwell. I need to read more of him!! I bought Down and Out in Paris and London the other day and I'm excited! Also I like this review, very thorough and concise!
I love your videos to bits. I was on youtube, generally searching for book review blogs and found you. They way you talk about books and everything about it; the way you talk about literature made my eyes opened.to love literature too. I used to love it when I was a kid and back when I was in school. I kinda lost that love when I am in University now but you know what? Because of you, I came to love books and literature again. So thank you Ariel for all the book reviews you made and all the discussion videos you made. I love them and I'm looking forward to your videos in 2015 too. All the best!
I absolutely love your videos, Ariel! Your passion for reading comes across so beautifully, and I truly admire your honesty and thoughtfulness in your reviews, and in the general presentation if your videos :) You deserve all your success! Happy new year, Ariel! I can imagine, and hope, 2015 will be another incredible year for you! :) xx
You're going into 2015 with 65K!! Congrats, Ariel! My favorite book for 2015 has to be Sunrise by Mike Mullin, though I finished the entire series in under a week and they were all equally phenomenal to me. But Sunrise really affected me, so it has to be my favorite. My least favorite book was Fault Line by Christa Desir. Best author for me was Mike Mullin but it's a close call between him and Rachel Higginson. I read 45 books this year, so I am satisfied. Can't wait to see what more great stuff I can read for 2015. Happy New Year!
I am so disappointed with my reading year this year. I only read 10 books and I had an arc that put me in a reading slump for a good 8 months. However I did have 2 absolutely phenomenal books that I read and that was Fangirl and Obsidian. Hopefully 2015 will be a better reading year for me because I will be focusing on just reading whatever I feel like instead of trying to micromanage my reading in order to complete my tbr pile.
This year I loved A Song of Ice and Fire - I finished the first book this summer and I am currently reading the second, I really love the series and the characters and will definitely continue with it in 2015! I also really enjoyed Fangirl and Every Day by David Levithan, contemporary stand alones are some of my favourite things to read. But in 2015 I definitely need to read more, I wasn't the best this year and there are so many great books I want to get to. Happy New Year!!
So many great books Ariel! I agree with you on Black Ice, I really did NOT enjoy it much either. Happy New Years! Your videos are freaking fantastic and I'm so excited to see more of them from you this year :')
I love your enthusiasm! Some of my favorite reads in 2014 were: Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan, Room by Emma Donoghue and Wild by Cheryl Strayed.
2014 was such an amazing year not only because I read 50 book but beacuse i found out about booktube and i discovered you, Ariel and a lot of other incredible paople that now are like a part of my life! Thank to you I started reading again and I could never thank you enough for that
Congrats on getting all the way up to 65,000! I'm actually in the process of uploading my video with my top 5, but some of my favorites included The Book Thief and Fangirl.
My favourite books were 1. OUTLANDER (because it so captivating and emotional, it really has everything I like in a book, and because of Jamie Fraser) and 2. CRIME AND PUNISHMENT (it was such a shock at first to see how good it is and the ending swept me off my feet)
I read 94 books (including 5 novellas and 20 something graphic novels) my favorites were: Outlander, Incarnate, Aristotle and Dante, Maybe Someday, the Infernal Devices mangas and the Saga graphic novels.
I hadn't checked youtube since november! Oh, my. This was a fun video. I wrote down several new titles to add to my to-read pile, so thank you :) My favorite book of 2014 was Fortunately, the Milk by Neil Gaiman. I laughed out loud, I opened my eyes really wide... I wanted to hug the book by the end and it only took me 30 minutes to read it. I closed it and started it again. LOVED IT.
I want to thank you for your lovely videos this year! Your enthusiasm is contagious, I LOVE IT! My favourite book this year was The Hobbit. I also finished reading The Quran this year, which I am very happy about cause I have been meaning to read it for so long. It was a good reading year and I am super excited for the next one!!
Well, i didn't read too much books in 2014 but i have to say that the books I read were amazing. In 2014 I meet my favourite book by far: Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock. this book is amazing, for some reason it make feel very happy, not sad like I supposed that would be when I first read the plot. Its a truly amazing book. My second favourite of 2014 is We were liars. It has a very interesting plot and a mindblowing ending.
I absolutely love it when you rip books to pieces xD Your negatives views always sound positive and nice even though you're saying words that would rip the authors heart into a billion pieces xD
Happy new year ! My favorite book of 2014 was Mr Gwyn, by Alessandro Baricco. I didn't see anyone talk about that book, but Baricco is one of my favorite authors, and this book - which was released this year - is fascinating, and mind-blowing.
Hey Ariel! Your 2014 year seems amazing! My economy teacher was saying us to read 1984 in october ^^ I think i'm going to buy it :) My top 3 of my favorites books of the year : 3. E. Zola "Au bonheur des dames" (The ladies' Daylight) was such a surprising good book! (I am french and this is a book that we had to read for high school) 2. Guillaume Musso "Central Parc" that every one was talking about in France was incredible! 1. Siobhan Curham "Dear Dylan" was THE book of 2014! It has more than 440 pages and I read it in one day. It makes me cry all the tears of my body... Thank you for your amazing videos!
Maybe Stenphenie Perkins heart just wasn't into Isla. That happens where the author thinks they love it but their heart isn't in it. Hope that makes sense!
I like to thank you for introducing me to George Orwell (I've on read Animal Farm though) but I can't wait to read more by him 😊 Have a happy new year 🎉
My favourite author of this year is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry! I read this year three his books and I absolutely love them all! Especially, "Terre des Hommes" ("Wind, Sand and Stars"). This book is quintessence of all my thoughts and feelings, it's definitely MY book! I want to continue read and re-read his books next year) Happy New Year, Ariel! Happy New Year, subsribers! С Новым годом! С Новым счастьем!
Top 6: 6) This Star Won't Go Out 5) Opposition 4) Clockwork Princess Graphic Novel 3) The Perks of Being a Wallflower 2) Prodigy 1) City of Heavenly Fire Bottom 2: 2) Frost 1) Obsession (JoAnne Keltner) Best covers: 2) Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe 1) The Retribution of Mara Dyer Top Author: Marie Lu
Favorite books I read this year: Ask the passengers - A.S King Fangirl - Rainbow Rowel Just one day - Gayle foreman Legend trilogy - Marie Lu Since you've been gone - Morgan Matson Least favorite book of the year: The Maze Runner (great movie though) Best covers: The Selection trilogy Anna, Lola and Ilsa Author of the year: A.S King
2014 has been my best reading year in ages. I managed to read 35 books this year (10 more than my initial goal) whereas the last couple of year I probably read less than ten. My favourite book of the year was probably either Anna and the French Kiss or Attachments (which is saying something as I'm normally not mega keen on romance books). In 2015 I want to get into a lot more science fiction and fantasy books, as I read a lot of contemporary books this year and I want to change my reading up a bit.
2014 is the year i realised i want to read (thanks to your videos) i would watch your videos and search the books you talk about in google and take a screenshot of the book cover to get later
YES I HATED BLACK ICE! I was so disappointed with that book. And hmm my favourite books were City of Heavenly Fire, Alienated by Melissa Landers and Paper Towns by John Green. I really want to try and branch out more this year and I know I am going to be reading 1984 for school next semester so that should get me started! I also really want to check out that Through the Wood book because Canadian Pride here as well! Congrats on everything you've accomplish this year! Love your videos they are so different and your energy is through the roof!
My reading year has been fantastic! I've mostly read fantasy because I love it but this year, I read Eleanor and Park (for the booktuebathon, may I add!) and discovered a love for contemporary just because I loved that book so much! This year I also loved City of Heavenly fire, Heir of Fire and The Iron trials. I just can't get enough of YA/MG Fantasy books, I guess! I've just read sooooo many great books this year and honestly, it's going to be hard for 2015 to top that!
Mine was a good reading year. I read 126 books and I don't think I had a least favourite book this year. My favourite book this year was probably The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon or Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira.
My favorites books of this year are 1-The Graveyard Book - Neil Gaiman. 2-If I Stay by Gayle Forman . 3-We Were Liars - E. Lockhart. 4-Inferno by Dan Brown. and my favorite author of this year is Neil Gaimen. Thanks Ariel for great reviews this year.
I loved all things Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices. It's a little predictable. I know. But I enjoyed them. Besides those, I LOVED the Chronicles of Vladimir Tod! They are some of the best books I have ever read. It is such a different type of vampire story; so refreshing. And I very much disliked The Eye of Minds by James Dashner, How to Love by Katie Cotugno, If I Stay by Gayle Forman, and Toxic by Sara Shepard. I love the insight you have when you read. I'm really excited for more of your videos in 2015! Here's to a fantastic year!
I have read 92 books since April. My favourite was either Melt by Selene Castrovilla or You Against Me by Jenny Downham. Uggh so good! Just wanna rub them on my face. Least fave? Hmmm, there were a lot.One of the top of my head is Branded by Abi Ketner and Missy Kalicicki. It made me want to claw my own eyeballs out. I couldn't understand how it got so many good reviews.
I've read 70 books this year! That's more than what I've read the past 6 years! I'm very proud of that! 2014 was an amazing year, I've started my Booktube channel!!! My favorite books were the Throne of Glass series by S. J. Maas! My least favorite was Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier. I thought I liked this trilogy but I didn't like the ending.
My fav book this year was The Archived by V.E. Schwab. It is so different than anything I've read before and I absolutely loved it! I also read through the woods this year and I thought it was ok. The illustrations are beautiful, but I only really enjoyed one story 😕 I did surpass my reading goal on goodreads. my goal was 20 books and I read 33. It's hard getting reading done when you have a 2 year old maniac in the house LOL! HAPPY NEW YEAR ARIEL!! 🎇🎇🎇
My favorite book of the year (even though it came out in 2012) is The Fault In Our Stars. I read it earlier this year before the movie came out and I loved it! 😊
Wow I really need to pick up an A.S King book! Anyways, I managed to read 24 books this year. I felt like I didn't really have a great reading year in terms of how many I read. I wanted to read a lot more than I did but oh well I guess. I want to challenge myself to read 100 books this year. My favorite books of the year probably included City of Heavenly Fire, Throne of Glass, The Darkest Minds, Anna and the French Kiss, Eleanor and Park, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, etc. I guess I read a lot of books I loved which matters most. Anyways, well for least favorites.... This one I'm about to mention is the same situation as you where it's not that it's a bad book. It's just that it was a disappointment. And that was The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan. I mean I wanted to love this book so much but it just really wasn't what I'd hoped for. I mean the rest of the books leading up to it are ABSOLUTELY fantastic in my opinion (they are like my second favorite series) but just that one I didn't like. I was disappointed by Isla and the Happily Ever After too! I mean I didn't think it was horrible. There was just too many issues I had with it. I felt sorta that like insta-love vibe. Isla even pointed out that they had only been together for like a month. So... yes I agree with you about that. Also one big thing I plan to do for 2015 is start a book tube channel. I'm a lot younger than most book-tubers that I watch (I'm 13 :/) but I don't know I just really want to have my own channel and share my opinions about books.
This was the first year that I discovered booktubing. And it was the first time I discovered you, and boy, I'm glad I did. NOW. FOR MY TOP 6 BOOKS OF THE YEAR! 1)The Harry Potter Series (especially Prisoner Of Azkaban and Half-Blood Prince) 2)A Monster Calls, by Patrick Ness 3)Anna and the French Kiss, by Stephanie Perkins 4)Power Play, by Ridley Pearson 5)Monument 14, by Emmy Laybourne 6)Flipped, by Wendeline Van Draaen. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Some of my favorite books of this year were Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, the Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and Everybody Sees The Ants by A.S. King! Also, I'm really interested in reading some Orwell. Which one of his book do you recommend I start with?
To be honest I did not have a good reading year due to stress and depression & not being able to focus.. But I really loved throne of glass by Sarah j Maas. And did not like a thousand pieces of you by Claudia gray, even though the cover was insanely gorgeous! Congrats on your TH-cam success, I'll always support you x
I've somehow managed to read 62 books this year despite working and being a full time student! A shock to me, but I did it. XD My absolute favorite read of this year is Dreams of Gods and Monsters - it's been almost a year and I just keep thinking about it! Ugh, so wonderful. I also just read volume 1 of Saga and DANG! I was not disappointed! Also, The Ice Dragon by George R.R. Martin. So wonderful and the illustrations are to die for. My least favorite is Changeling by Philippa Greggory. I normally loooove Philippa Greggory, but this was just so awful and boring I didn't even finish it. A close second is Reckless by Cornelia Funke - someone I also usually love, but I just couldn't jam to this. I hear the next book is much better, though, and it has MUCH better reviews on Goodreads than the first. O_O I hope you have a great year Ariel! I love watching your video's, they're so fun and thought-provoking, sometimes all at once. XD
I think I had an excellent reading year! I read 80 books and I'm so freaking happy about that! I discovered booktube last fall I think and when everyone started talking about their reading goals for 2014 I really wanted to set a goal for myself aswell. I set my goodreads goal to 30 books. I thought it was a big goal for me, but it turned out it wasn't even a challenge :D 2015 I'm hoping to read 70 books. 2015 is going to be a very big year for me with national tests (It's kinda like the swedish version of finals..) and finding a new school and then moving to that new school. And with change comes stress, and I really really can't read when Im stressed about something, so 70 books seem reasonable to me :) ^^ My favourite books this year was (No particular order): "We were liars" by E. Lockhart. "I'll give you the sun" by Jandy Nelson "Svensk synd" (Translates into: Swedish sin) by Martin Jern "The elephant vanishes" by Haruki Murakami And my worst books of 2014 was: "Det handlar om dig" (It's about you) by Sandra Beijer "Ru" by Kim Thúy "How I live now" by Meg Rosoff Happy new year!
I am having a booktube-night and since i've been following you for some time, but never watched your earlier videos I decided to do just that! It's so funny to see that your energy is EXACTLY the same as it is now :P And to answer your question, just for funs.. I'll dive into my readings for 2014 and: Best book: Hollow City by Ransom Riggs Worst book: Marked by P.C. Cast Best cover: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen Favorite author: Ransom Riggs Funny to be diving back into the earlier reading years!
My favorites for 2014 would have to be Saga volumes 1-4 and the Throne of Glass books 1-3. I also read the first 3 books in the Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer and they were actually really good!
Favorite book of this year (and so far all time) FANGIRL! A very close second is All the Light We Cannot See. Whoever hasn't read those books REALLY should. Others include Lola and the Boy Next Door, Shatter Me trilogy, Lunar Chronicles, Throne of Glass series.... Least favorite book is Breathe by Abbi Glines. And prettiest cover goes to I'll Give You the Sun seeing as I was pining it not for the synopsis really, mostly to own the pretty cover to look at. I'm really proud though. I read 269 books this year.
i only read 26 books this year, but thats good for me. I am hoping to read 30 books in 2015, and I might try and read something by George Orwell to see if i like it. My favourite book was probably the maze runner, and i don't really have a least favourite book, they were all pretty good. Looking forward to more of your videos in 2015, i think you are my favourite booktuber.
I read a lot of books this year, but was disappointed by the fact that I only read one new book that I could add to my list of favorites. Ultimately I don't care about how many books I read overall -- I care most about how many amazing books I read. Here's to hoping 2015 will be a much better reading year!
Ariel, you like Orwell? Who knew? You never mention him, ever! ;)
My top 3 books this year: #3 The Diviners, #2 Fangirl and #1 The Encyclopedia of Early Earth! Okay, might as well mention Clash Of Kings too! :D
And most disappointing reads are If I Stay and Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hours Bookstore... Both okay, but both not as good as I expected...
She mentioned it millions of times before
FakeTribute ! I guess you didn't catch my sarcastic tone lol.
Who knew Ariel loved Orwell? I mean she's never ever talked about him. ;)
ravenclaw_some I stopped reading after ' Who knew? ' thats the reason why i didnt get it
It is really hard to convey and/or pick up on sarcasm when it's typed.
Can I guess before watching the video that George Orwell would be the author of the year?
Now I want to read so badly Animal Farm and 1984
Guillermo Andrade they are really great reads, i had to read them in school but i honest loved them which never really happens for me with school reads. Still to this day I'm a junior in high school (my school is block schedule so i finished my english 11 class for this school year all of the 3 required novel classics) 1984 and animal farm are some of my all time favorites

I'm planning to buy those, I want to read some classics
Guillermo Andrade in Peru, we read at school latinoamerican and Peruvian literature of course :)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Happy New New!
Ariel, you're so inspiring! The books you read and your enthusiasm about them makes me wanna pick them up too! Hope 2015 is an even bigger and better reading year for you and for all of us. Happy new year! :)

Happy New Year!
Thank to you I started reading again and I could never thank you enough for that
My reading year went really well! I read 40 books, which is the most I've ever read in one year. BookTube was my motivation, for sure. :)
Congrats on getting all the way up to 65,000! I'm actually in the process of uploading my video with my top 5, but some of my favorites included The Book Thief and Fangirl.
my favourite books of 2014 are if I stay, we were liars, the strange and beautiful sorrows of Ava Lavender and the winners curse!
I'm so glad you had a great year! :)
I also agree with you about Isla. I had such high expectations for it and when I finally read it it just didn't meet those expectationns.
I wrote down several new titles to add to my to-read pile, so thank you :)
My favorite book of 2014 was Fortunately, the Milk by Neil Gaiman.
I love you, Ariel. I, sincerely and truly, do.
Happy new year. :)
Happy new year !
My favorite book of 2014 was Mr Gwyn, by Alessandro Baricco. I didn't see anyone talk about that book, but Baricco is one of my favorite authors, and this book - which was released this year - is fascinating, and mind-blowing.
I'm a new subscriber and I like your videos because you're one of the few persons whom I totally understand their English. (I'm from Mexico).
Excellent video! I don't even know what else to say. Loved this! Happy New Year!
Omg I love your Sailor Moon wall!! Now I'll get back to watching haha
Hey Ariel! Your 2014 year seems amazing! My economy teacher was saying us to read 1984 in october ^^ I think i'm going to buy it :)
My top 3 of my favorites books of the year :
3. E. Zola "Au bonheur des dames" (The ladies' Daylight) was such a surprising good book! (I am french and this is a book that we had to read for high school)
I really want to read Through the Woods! I haven't read much graphic novels before, and it looked fantastic!
Maybe Stenphenie Perkins heart just wasn't into Isla. That happens where the author thinks they love it but their heart isn't in it. Hope that makes sense!
I like to thank you for introducing me to George Orwell (I've on read Animal Farm though) but I can't wait to read more by him 😊
Have a happy new year 🎉
YESSSS BLACK ICE SHADE YESSSSSS I WAS HOPING AND HOPING AND I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED
My favourite author of this year is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry! I read this year three his books and I absolutely love them all! Especially, "Terre des Hommes" ("Wind, Sand and Stars"). This book is quintessence of all my thoughts and feelings, it's definitely MY book!
I want to continue read and re-read his books next year)
Happy New Year, Ariel! Happy New Year, subsribers!

Oh my gosh the September girls book cover is the exact same picture of my favorite album, it's called Our Nature by Savoir Adore
I never would've thought you'd pick George Orwell (;
And I had a wonderful reading year, the best I've had in awhile!
Love your videos they are so different and your energy is through the roof!
i read a lot of poems, The Yellow Wallpaper and The Awakening! All triple thumbs up!!
Great video Ariel ! I hope 2015 is just as great for you . My favourite book of 2014 was divergent :)
Mine was a good reading year. I read 126 books and I don't think I had a least favourite book this year. My favourite book this year was probably The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon or Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira.
My favorites books of this year are
1-The Graveyard Book - Neil Gaiman.
2-If I Stay by Gayle Forman .
3-We Were Liars - E. Lockhart.
4-Inferno by Dan Brown.
and my favorite author of this year is Neil Gaimen.
Thanks Ariel for great reviews this year.
I can agree with you for black ice I only got a couple hundred pages and in and I never finished it I hated it too much
Lol, this video makes me happy. I think I feel better now. Yes, I like to talk about books.
I only read 10 books this year😜 but my favorite book I read was Stolen by Lucy Christopher
Here's to a fantastic year!
could you do a bookmark collection?
Oh my goodness you're awesome!!!
Orwell my favorite author as well.and I only read 1984 and Animal Farm.
My fav book this year was The Archived by V.E. Schwab. It is so different than anything I've read before and I absolutely loved it!
I also read through the woods this year and I thought it was ok. The illustrations are beautiful, but I only really enjoyed one story 😕
I did surpass my reading goal on goodreads. my goal was 20 books and I read 33.
Lol sorry for the super duper long comment
This was the first year that I discovered booktubing. And it was the first time I discovered you, and boy, I'm glad I did. NOW. FOR MY TOP 6 BOOKS OF THE YEAR!
1)The Harry Potter Series (especially Prisoner Of Azkaban and Half-Blood Prince)
2)A Monster Calls, by Patrick Ness
3)Anna and the French Kiss, by Stephanie Perkins
4)Power Play, by Ridley Pearson
5)Monument 14, by Emmy Laybourne
6)Flipped, by Wendeline Van Draaen.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
I love Isla!
My three favorites are: broken by daniel clay, animal farm (thanks Ariel) and we were liars. I have read a lot of Bulgakov (who's just awesome).
And with change comes stress, and I really really can't read when Im stressed about something, so 70 books seem reasonable to me :) ^^
My favourite books this year was (No particular order):
"We were liars" by E. Lockhart.
"I'll give you the sun" by Jandy Nelson
"Svensk synd" (Translates into: Swedish sin) by Martin Jern
"The elephant vanishes" by Haruki Murakami
And my worst books of 2014 was:
"Det handlar om dig" (It's about you) by Sandra Beijer
"Ru" by Kim Thúy
"How I live now" by Meg Rosoff
Happy new year!
I am having a booktube-night and since i've been following you for some time, but never watched your earlier videos I decided to do just that! It's so funny to see that your energy is EXACTLY the same as it is now :P
And to answer your question, just for funs.. I'll dive into my readings for 2014 and:
Best book: Hollow City by Ransom Riggs
Worst book: Marked by P.C. Cast
Best cover: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
Favorite author: Ransom Riggs
Funny to be diving back into the earlier reading years!
I read a lot of awesome books this year, some stand outs being: Deathly Hallows, House of Hades, City of Heavenly Fire and Aristotle and Dante. :D
I kind of miss these bookish videos (even though I love the new vids)
Liked Animal Farm & Politics & the English Language, both by Orwell. Have to think about which books I liked best in '14. Happy New Year!
ILY
