Did you use the same method to go from side to side ? Like 5 vertical and 5 horizontally? Got a hand made tile installation tomorrow with handmade Moroccan tiles.
I installed the bottom 1st row like that, then just used the 1st row I set as a guide. Between the center laser line, the bottom 1st row, and the ends of the walls, it was easy to balance them out . Once you get used to this method the installation goes fairly fast👌Enjoy installing those Moroccan tiles tomorrow! 👊💯
Yea, I used a laser level for my center setting line, then used the 5 tile module only on the 1st row, the rest I balanced by eye... but you can certainly use the module to check as you go👍👍
If I have to cut a tile to fit vertically should it be the lowest one or the tallest (for the side of a kitchen island)? And how much time do I have to work with this thin set?
If it's a backsplash I usually cut the top piece, so that I start with a full tile on the bottom👍. The bucket life for this thinset isn't the best, so I'd say only make what you can use in 2 hours.
I could use the wall as a plumb line since I mud floated it, and it's plumb... but it's too many tiles across. I'd rather have the plumb line in the center so it's less tiles to the left and right of it. 👍
Awesome stuff Maestro!
Thank you, friend! 🙌

@@HowToTileLikeaPro oh like you split the wall down the middle and used the module for each side ?

Also why couldn’t you use the wall as the plum line and start from there?
