Thank you for introducing Arthur. We recently said goodbye to our orange tiger of 14 years. I wasn't ready for another pet but fate had other plans. The very next day a tiny, wet, sick and starving black cat shows up begging at our back door. Long story short she is doing very well here in the home that SHE choose.
What a precious, adorable, lucky boy,! Isn't it amazing how our kitties find us when our hearts are ready? Please give my love to your friend who adopted and kept a pregnant rescue cat. I volunteered with an area rescue organization for years, caring for abandoned and orphaned babies too young to eat on their own. It entailed bottle feeding them every three hours around the clock, and I promise you, I ended up buying things from tv shopping channels during the three a.m. feedings that I would never have ordered at three p.m., especially when there were eight kittens in the litter. 😁 I had to give it up because of health issues (I am in my seventies now) but I still was given one more chance. Our gardener brought us a single abandoned kitten, eyes unopened, umbilical cord still attached. Victor was my last bottle baby, and I kept him. He is arrogant, entitled, spoiled, and loving, but what animal shouldn't feel important and confident that they deserve the best? All my other foster children found forever homes through the rescue organization that brought them to me, through the kindness of people like your friend. I loved your Leo, and he was a big part in my joining the journaling community. I miss him, but I so look forward to watching Arthur grow and explore his own uniqueness. Thank you for sharing him.
Artie is a lucky boy and I'm so glad you have adopted him. As a seriel dog rescuer and keeper of said dogs, I believe the greatest testament to a pet's value in our lives is to give a loving home to another pet. Artie will not replace Leo's memory - as you know - and Leo will be smiling from his sunny spot at the Rainbow Bridge, glad you have a new furbaby to lavish your love on. Best to you, Wendy.

Welcome Arty! What a sweet boy. You have found yourself a loving home full of many hands to show you love. You have big paws to fill as we all fell in love with Leo. I rescued a cat in April 2022 who gave us a litter of 5 kittens in May. We found homes for 4 of the kittens keeping Mama and a kitten. One kitten came back so our population increased from 3 to 6. I know a little crazy, it wasn't planned but it's just the way it worked out. It had been so long since we had a kitten and I forgot all they can find to get into. But I love each one with their own personalities and you will see as Arthur grows. Thank you for sharing and we hope we see a lot of this sweet boy. You can hear it in your voice how special he already is. It does my heart good to hear that his Mama was taken in and given a chance to survive and flourish. So enough already. Thanks for sharing. Warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. We had a tabby just like Arty for 20 years and he was such a sweet and loving cat. We too had to put him down 2 years ago. Warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. We had a tabby just like Arty for 20 years and he was such a sweet and loving cat. We too had to put him down 2 years ago. I know that Arty will never replace Leo but I can tell he will be loved just as much. Can't wait to see more of him. Welcome Arty! Hope Midge is taking well to him. Enjoy your day ❤
