Thanks for the video. I truly remember having this as a kid mainly because of the yellow square body and the red hot rod. I believe I still have them somewhere. :)
Yes! Keep on doing throwback thursdays! I never saw this type of hot wheels before. I like it! Hot wheels needs to make more interactive sets like this again. Not saying that theyre not putting out quality products but stuff like this just seems like so much fun! If you can do a review of the hot wheels "inside track". It was a drag strip set that could roll up and fold into an old school lunch box size for storage. I still have one unopened!!! I just want to see your review of it. Your channel is always entertaining! Keep it up! Good luck hunting 🚙🚗🛻🚕
64Wheels, I'm in my 40s and I remember these. Matchbox had something called the 'Connectables' - which allowed you to mix and match different segments of the vehicle with others. It's a pity that toymakers aren't as creative as they used to be. They are too fixated on the 'limited' or 'collectard' aspect of toys these days.
I had a few of the Connectables as a kid too! I had the VW Bug and the Lincoln limo, and I think I even had Wendy’s kids meal toys that were airplane connectables brand (if I remember right). I’ve been hunting down the very rare NASA Connectables set but I don’t see it pop up for sale often. I also wish toy makers still made still like this. It’s so simple yet affordable to buy and brings lots of enjoyment for a small investment.
What an awesome set! Mattel should seriously consider bringing back this concept and making new sets with swappable parts!👍
They did bring back them for a little bit near 2014 or something but them quickly discontinued. I remember getting one
This episode was a pleasure! thank you sir. Makes me want to dig up a late 1980's early 1990's Sears catalog and check out the toy section
It took me a long time to find these, as I did not buy the set, but by chance I found them all individually over the years.
OMG! I had this and man it was so cool! Yes, I also wish Hot Wheels would bring this back! thank you fot the great memory : ) Greetings from Germany
Didn‘t know that something Like that is existing and nice idea from Hot wheels back then 👍
