Bluegrass and country is music where old people shine. That's not meant in offense, just that it doesn't have the pretensions of rock or other forms of pop, and good thing too. Those are cults of delusional youth, this is music that echoes through generations. Legacy, family, blood and roots, that's a connection other music can't get a hold on. Classical is great in a grand sense as well, but not like this. Music of the common people.

Song was written to be sad and contemplative...very original to try and make it sound even more like a bummer (sarcasm). The Dillard’s sung it in a faster tempo so as to not make the audience want to drink and cry....it’s called entertainment, knuckle heads.
