Cool stuff! I need to get a piece of Continental Currency. Such cool piece. Went to the LCS yesterday. They had a 500 FRN a strong EX raw for 1250! I was shocked no one bought it yet. Thinking of picking it up to flip it....

The fractional, continental, and the colonial currency are very nice pieces to have in your collection. I just recently purchased a first run 5 cent that i will have graded soon and purchuse a graded 10 cent from 1874 which i think is from the 5th run. Thanks for sharing

The compound interest notes were only issued in 1863 and 1864.They were used to help finance the Union during the Civil War.They could also be used as legal tender at face value.The 10$ note actually has the same black eagle as the 1899 1$ silver cert.There are only 15 of the 100$ known to exist, which features a full body image of George Washington,and the only banknote to ever depict him like that

The best I could say without seeing one would be that it certainly is not a category of US currency. For a college to print their own currency would mean they are the ones backing it, not the US. Kind of like obsolete bank notes. Not US currency. You should make a video of it so I can see what you are talking about. I'm sure many people would be interested.

The North African relief note and the gold certificate are my two favorite old u.s. currencies and it's two of the three that I want in my collection that I don't have expensive the third is the brown seal non Federal Reserve Bank by the way your gold certificate is beautiful what's that worth about five six hundred bucks proof positive of United States currency deflation
For my top 10 lists, I use my replica notes. I don't like taking that many expensive notes out at once. I am searching for a brown seal National $100. Good luck to both of us!

In a grade VF20 the average book price is $1300. They go up from there based on condition.
