really good advice. on my VDB I had to push the new MAX value to 25000 to start seeing the misty volume I was looking for... I had the scatter set to 5 and the absorption set to .02.. got it nice and faint but still could see the plumes of smoke...but not a tear gas ordinance..LOL
Thank you very much for this! I've been tasked with creating some clouds for a project, and they were rendering way too solid in Redshift in Cinema 4D. Remapping the Old Max as you've shown did the trick.
Hey! I was not happy with the result of the density map Old Min and Max. So I touched the Scatter ramp. I added a black dot at the very right of the ramp, and moved the white dot in the middle. It worked super well! Hope it can help some more people.
Hi, I cant use the VDB plugin, I tried to install the free (Github) one but no luck. Can you please give me the link of VDB you are using. It will help me a lot. BTW, Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you so much! I'm new to volumes in RS. This was a key piece I couldn't sort out with just scatter and absorption.

Excellent, that absorption / scatter thing was driving me crazy but as always Occams razor is the answer, thanks!

Thank you Adrian
Big Thanks!!!!
thank you!
Thanks for helping me
thx
great tutorial !
Thanks it helped me a lot.
thank you
ive experimented with the shader parameters today and accidentally found the same result, nobody ever cranks the remap to 50... idk why...
can i convert a model to a volume transparency?
