to be honest we have a mitsubishi montero way back 2016. thats 8yrs ago. and seeing this expander now. talagang napagiwanan naman na ata ang Mitsubishi sa upgrades especially technology compare sa toyota etc. but i love our montero dont get me wrong. prang isang beses lang nagkaproblem sa 8 yrs na gamit everyday. but alaga rin namin sa maintenance

Nahh. Xpander Cross way too expensive. I'd rather spend a bit more for either the Hyundai Stargazer X or the Honda Br-v Vx and get the complete safety features (not gimmicks!!!), more advanced tech, more powerful engine, better handling, and better fuel economy. Well, most especially the Stargazer X since it's the roomiest among its competitors. The Br-v is somehow cramped, though. And what are looks for if the Xpander (especially the Cross variant) significantly lacks many top-of-the-line features and has a conservative engine and transmission setup? The Stargazer's "odd" looks are nothing to be ashamed/frowned upon, and if anything, they are future-forward.
The Stargazaer is a egg man, plain and simple. If youre all about that boring egg life more power to you, personally I want something that reminds me im not totally dead inside. If the Stargazer's looks are your vision of the future, the future is pretty dystopian. Also ADAS is a huge gimmick but that in and of itself is not as bad as the risks it poses with things that literally control your steering wheel while driving and push you in a direction you dont want to go, I can do without all those distractions thanks.
Hyundai Stargazer. Rides like an entry-level luxury car. So smooth and comfortable, going through slight to moderate bumps is barely noticeable. Very, very solid.

I’d take the Cross over the GLS with body kits. The front with the appearance package looks busy and overall looks overdone. It also just adds up to the weight to a car that have low hp/torque and old 4-speed a/t.
For around the price point of the Xpander Cross it's best for you to get the Stargazer, even the GLS Premium variant. Somehow cheaper, yet has complete set of features especially on the safety department. Sure, the Stargazer might be alien-looking or whatsoever but they'll come in handy when the unexpected comes. Of course, safety features are not to be relied on 100% of the time but they're there to give peace of mind while driving.
It's a family car. Yet, it doesn't offer more airbags like the Veloz does. If kaya mo isusugal ang safety ng family, then take this Xpander as your family car..

"Nakakamura" sila sa mga pyesa ng Xpander kasi hindi galing sa Mitsubishi ang brand ng mga parts nila, at hindi rin sila sa Mitsubishi mismo nagpapa-PMS. Which can potentially reduce the lifespan/reliability of the car eventually. Honda's and Hyundai's offerings may not have the widespread availability of third-party parts that the Xpander has, but their service is top-notch and they are more favored by the younger generation like the Millennials and Gen Zs.

Seriously, the Cross looks like a ricer car trying to fit in. No offense to Xpander Cross owner, but this car is trying way too hard in the looks department. Between the two I'd take the GLS, but between the GLS and everything else, I'd take the BRV.
Lakas maka-"SUV" looks ng Cross but it's too expensive and they do little to nothing to the actual performance, handling, and safety of the car. For ₱1.3M the Xpander Cross's safety features are way behind the competition, especially the Honda BR-V VX and the Hyundai Stargazer X. It's got the weakest engine as well as a dated 4-AT which doesn't do wonders in fuel economy. And yes, matagtag ang Xpander lineup.

When the first iteration of the Xpander Cross came about 4 years ago, what set it significantly apart from the GLS variant that time was the higher ground clearance and bigger wheels/tyres, which Mitsubishi cited as the top selling points for the Cross over the GLS. Now that the GLS and GLX variants have the same ground clearance and wheel/tyre size as the Cross, there's definitely nothing about the Cross to write home about, maliban na lang siguro sa Active Yaw Control which is basically slightly advanced Electronic Stability Control…but all other features, from the engine to the transmission and safety/tech features all remain the same.

For ₱1.3M the Xpander Cross's safety features are way behind the competition, especially the Honda BR-V VX and the Hyundai Stargazer X. It's got the weakest engine as well as a dated 4-AT which doesn't do wonders in fuel economy. And yes, matagtag ang Xpander lineup.
@@eyyydoddskathis is exactly the problem with the Cross, it's trying too hard to look like an SUV when in fact, other than it's height, it doesnt come close to actual SUVs. I dont know, baka ako lang, ang kakapal lang talaga ng mga plastic trims nya, parang ung lumang BRV na andaming gustong mangyari sa ichura nya. Kahit tanggalin na natin yung BRV at GLS, I would honestly go with the Ertiga over the Cross, at least hybrid na Ertiga, mas mura plus alam mo talagang normal na people hauling car lang sya, nothing more than that.

When the first iteration of the Xpander Cross came about 4 years ago, what set it significantly apart from the GLS variant that time was the higher ground clearance and bigger wheels/tyres, which Mitsubishi cited as the top selling points for the Cross over the GLS. Now that the GLS and GLX variants have the same ground clearance and wheel/tyre size as the Cross, there's definitely nothing about the Cross to write home about, maliban na lang siguro sa Active Yaw Control which is basically slightly advanced Electronic Stability Control…but all other features, from the engine to the transmission and safety/tech features all remain the same.
