@@anthonyrebuffo9509 these Nikke are pretty much human's brain (either extracted willingly or because the owner is dying) attached to an artificial body which is, either crafted specifically to fit their (the brain) own liking, or to fit the set of abilities they got upon being converted into Nikke (which is usually a translation of their desire), or both. But this only applies to those who are lucky to have the set of skills the government (or companies) require, otherwise they'll be shoved into mass-produced body that look the same to each other.
It is required to give them a specific body because brain tend to be fickle about it. Imagine losing a limb, you'll fell weird for a while until you're accustomed to the condition. In Nikke's case, if their brain becomes too stressed mentally, the nanomachine that regulates and keep the brain alive even after the body has been incapacitated will force the brain to undergo some sort of 'reset'.
This 'reset' at best will cause some memory loss, but sometimes may also lead to change in personality, or even turning the Nikke mad. This nanomachine can also selectively alter memories and emotions. That's why some of these Nikke can accept the new name assigned to them as their own identity just fine, or feeling fearless when it comes to battle.
Not all women can undergo operation to become Nikke and gets the abilities they need to be chosen as special Nikke by the companies though. That's why when it comes to a Nikke with important abilities (the SR and SSR ones), the company responsible for them will craft for her a body that she'll feel comfortable/enjoyable to be in. It's usually a body that resembles themselves when they're still alive, or their idealized form. They also prepare identical spare bodies that could be used to house the brain if the current body is too damaged. As long as the brain remain intact and safely retrieved, it can be housed on the new identical spare body and the Nikke in question will be back in operational state in no time.
The same unfortunately cannot be said to the mass-produced Nikkes, as the nanomachine in their brain will initially wipe their memory so that they could accustomed themselves easier to their mass-produced body. As a result, most mass-produced Nikkes don't have complete memories of when they're still human.
Also, the technology used to convert human into Nikke is partially alien in nature, that even in-universe the people still cannot figure out why it could only work for female human.
If you are more familiar with 40K, think Nikke as Eldar's ghost warriors, except the bonesinger has to shape the wraithbone frame into an exact shape to the spirit's liking, ostensibly to the point where the frame look really close to how the particular spirit's looked like when they were alive, or their idealized form. The brain here acts and treated similarly to Eldar's soul stone.

I tried to get Scarlet: Black Shadow, but I used my Gold Mileage Tickets on Ludmilla: Winter Owner and Mica: Snow Buddy. I am F2P, but I didn’t originally intend to be. I just hope she’ll appear in the regular recruitment. I get SSRs but usually not the one on the banner lately, I keep getting Guillotine, Diesel, Novel, and Soline dupes, all three are at Core 3.
Unfortunately if I recall, Edgy Scarlet is a limited banner character and will not be included in the regular recruitment banner. BUT it is possible to get someone like Red Hood (who's basically my daily clearer at this point) from the regular banner like all other pilgrims
Wise Cummanders save their mileage tickets for Pilgrim banners or units that are broken as hell (I.E. The bunny sisters or The highschoolers). Also those characters that you've been getting to core 3 should be leveled up in order to use the synchro machine and break the 160 barrier

Honestly it's pretty easy to get SSRs. And there's still molds and company specific molds.
In each event shop there's 10 event banner tickets and 10 standard banner tickets, also there's usually a 7 day log in reward. And the last day gives 10 standard tickets.
It's anniversary is generous too. They gave out like 100 event banner tickets which is insane. That means people that already had 100 mileage could just buy the Nikke at the shop.

Fun fact: Rose doesn't have an accent. Because Rose and Scarlet are mass produced nikkes they didn't retain any of their memories from when they were human. They only instinctively knew they were sisters. Whether or not Scarlet had that accent when alive or if Rose lost hers as a Nikke is left a mystery.

I just started playing because i saw the doom girl...only to realize i missed her even by days. Oh well, i might someday get her. Till then im happy with my current favorite gal, Rosanna. Nothing quite like a cruela davile mobster mommy.
I love watching peoples honest reactions to this game. Especially when they get into the main story line and get so invested in it from the get go. It just goes to show you that the devs of the game know how to make a really gripping story.

Nikke might legit be the most generous Gatcha game I've seen.
At one point I had over 30K gems without spending.
And every event gives 10 special summons, for the new characters and 10 ragular tickets for permanent rolls, and that just the even shop(for in game points) usually you get log in bonuses.
I think I've spent maybe 100$ the whole year and have almost every character.
Compared to something like FGO it's night and day, FGOs gatcha is so bad 😢
