@hankandkelly Then why did it sit at 7.6 seconds as well as 3 and 5.5? SP Started at 20.2 seconds and they scored. Then coaches argued about time. That's when I filmed the clock the next time showing 7.6 seconds. There was no other play between SP scoring and Esco inbounding the ball so why during the time out did it show 7.6 seconds? I'm assuming your saying (correct me if I'm wrong), it was changed again??? That's 2 corrections they made by yours and my accounting. Why? ... Please post the 5.5
@hankandkelly then why did you put it in quotations? As if you were questioning the video recorder for some reason. C'mon, you can see that it recorded... I posted the video... When are you posting yours?
@hankandkelly It's not coming up hank. Once it's up on TH-cam, send the link - I don't see it on your channel either so it's probably still downloading? Also the link in the timer for 55:45 in your post keeps going to my video.
Though you might have filmed the time at 7.6 seconds, the refs changed the time to 5.5 seconds. That's where the clock was when Esco inbounded the ball. And Chantele let go of the ball 6.1 seconds after the inbound, so the game was over before she took the shot. End of story. If I knew how to post a still image I would do so - shows the clock at 5.5 at the time of the inbound - but I don't think I can do that here.
Hank - look at the score when it shows 7.6 secs. It shows 42 to 40.. Do you see what I mean now? I didn't do any fancy video editing to show more time on the clock. 42 to 40 is showing w/ 7.6 left
Yes it showed 42to40 with 7.6 secs briefly. But Esco embounded the ball quickly & when the coaches called a TO the refs didn't realize it. SO when refs acknowledged the TO & the time was down below 3 secs .Coaches we arguing about the time. THE SCORERS table put the original time of 7.6 secs back up but the refs corrected the time down to 5.5 secs to account for the time that Esco embounded the ball, got to half court & when the refs recognized the TO.Thus the 2.1 second deduction from the clock.
@hankandkelly Instead of assuming that I was editing the video and only showing what I wanted to show, you can see all the errors with the clock management. First it was 3 seconds, then 7.6, & now 5?
@MrWh2414 all good points and completely agree. When the referee doesn't show the quick 100% decisive call, it allows for too many people question the decision...regardless of him being right or wrong. Good comment
@breeser12. Since you were at the game with your recorder "recording" all of the action I find it hard to believe that you missed the time remaining. But for sake of argument I am posting a URL of the game below. Fast forward to 55:43 and look at the upper left hand side of the video and look what time the clock shows when they are getting ready to inbound the ball. You can post your apology whenever youre ready...
@hankandkelly By my video, there were 7.6 seconds left. When SP scored, the official timer forgot to stop the clock & it went down to 3 secs. The EHS coach called out the mistake and the time was corrected to 7.6 secs. I never saw 5.5 seconds on the clock. You must be making this up Hanky. If you have proof, post it! If you're right, you're right but I would bet that you're making another mistake. Just by chance, were you the Official Timer? Is that why U R being so defensive?
@hankandkelly Again with all the assumptions. I wasn't there to film the game. I was filming my daughter for cheer. However when the game was getting down to a nail biter, I started to record the game
@jsjazz1 Okay, I've uploaded the still frame. But for some reason if I include the link in it's proper format I can't post the comment. So, here's the link but REMOVE ALL SPACES before trying it bcmodelhobbies. com /images /EndOfEscoGame.jpg Shows the clock at 5.5 seconds, 4th qtr, 42 (SP) 40 (Esco), Ref has the ball in his hands, Esco player under the hoop waiting to inbound, Jyll at the top of the key.
I guess the video can only be seen to someone that has the URL and since TH-cam wont let me post one I had to get creative Again....move the film to 55:45
@hankandkelly & I'm not here to stir up crap. If the only crap that comes out of this is that you show 5.5 seconds on the clock, then kudos to you. You can put this issue to bed. However, I'll argue that their were many errors on the clock management from the Official Timer/Scorer and the Referees to have 3 different times showing from the time SP scored and when Escondido inbound the ball. Don't you find that strange? 3 Seconds, then 7.6 and then 5.5? THAT is RIDICULOUS!
when the ball was first imbounded both coaches were yelling for a timeout. By the time the refs noticed and the clock was stopped it was down below 3 secs. And since the clock officially stops when the refs recognize the coach calling a time out the refs went back and added time back on the clock making it 5.5. Why the precisley chose 5.5 we will never know. But the facts are all there. Ant having different times on the clock and the refs adjusting it is not uncommon as I'm sure you know...
Bad call or poor chance at making a good call based on tech of the buzzer, someone manually hitting the buzzer, buzzer and timer out of sync..... or just bad call?
@hankandkelly See, You're assuming more stuff again.. 1) that I don't know the rules - I've played basketball for years. Probably can play better than you who probably just reads the rules and 2) I filmed the last couple of minutes of the game. Not the entire game as I mentioned before. As I said before, if you have film of the 5.5 seconds left then post it. I don't care to be right with the call of the game. However what I have on film shows the 7.6 seconds left on the inbound play.
And I'm Not assuming anything! You were at the game. You were filming the game! Those are facts! This is what the problem is... People that 1) don't know the game and/or the rules and 2) don't know the facts but take the time to stir a bunch of crap up! It's ridiculous! And then for some poeople to say that the Escondido team got robbed as if San Pasqual cheated or had some sort of home court advantage is flat out ridulois. BOTH teams played a great, very close, and very intense game.
Tough call to make for any official..would have liked to see the trail make a good confident call either way, not run all the way down to the Lead and put the call on him. That unfortunately is what you get when replay is not allowed.
@ ~500 views, Hank is the 1st to say that 7.6 secs is wrong. I didn't "edit" the video to show more time dumbass. If it was less than 7.6, I never saw it and wish I had the clock in view of the video.
@hankandkelly I'll take a look at the video but don't hold your breath for an apology. You called me a punk for no reason on your first post with no cause. What you see is all the video that I have
@hankandkelly I haven't looked at your video yet but based on your assumptions, I still think you are a dumbass with the way you approached to argue. & "recorder"...what the heck does that mean?

Recorder as in video camera, phone camera, any camera that "records"
