The host tried to fake his way through the interview. Pretending that he was this super fan..but obviously wasn't prepared. The funniest part was when they were talking about 'End of the Century' and Phil Spector and the host blurted out, 'We Want the Airwaves'. hehe. If it wasn't for the fact that Ramones history being so interesting and Monte being such a good guest, this would have been a train wreck.
@@michaelr.4878 Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but I don't see your point. Yes he got "airwaves" wrong, but in fairness, Monte put him on the spot there. Are you saying if you were to interview someone, you'd memorize their whole discography, like, memorize what album every song is on? If you're as a big a Ramones fan as me, you know all their songs and albums, but I wouldn't have that depth of knowledge for some of Drew's other guests, and if they put me on the spot, I'd make a mistake too. He was definitely prepared. He has notes about the whole timeline of Ramones, relevant questions/observations, stuff like photos, as well as his knowledge from being being in the NYHC scene that the Ramones had an impact on. I give full props, and enjoyed this shit. For Monte yes, but also Drew.
Great to hear Monte. But the host is all over the place. He isn't listening to what Monte says. Monte will answer a question..and the answer goes right over his head and he will ask again. He tried to fake his way through the interview. Do your research if you don't know what you are talking about.
Cut the guy some slack, Drew is an awesome host! I honestly think he's a bit starstruck. I am a YUGE Ramones fan and I know I would probably be a jibbering mess! Like Chris Farley interviewing Paul McCartney, but worse!😆
Great interview!
Excellent episode
Thanx Mike.
lets go Monte!
*GABBA GABBA HEY!*
Joan Jett not only plays the same guitar, she still plays only power chords!
"I really loved rocket to Russia man"

Monte nods a bit. He's just listening, as he waits for the question attached to the thought. Of course, Rocket to Russia IS an awesome record.
