30:55 be interesting if in mtg arena they have a mode where you can or with another can test card synergy and reactions. it wont affect dailies and such but purely its to see how things play out. that mode lobby you have access to every single card known to arena. you cant keep them and add to library but its there for you to pick and grab. if want you can make the deck random or specifically in order of cards on purpose of seeing synergy on draws and effects. you can also rewind if miss something or to try another method.
Per the lesson at the end of the video, why would the tokens brought back from Nightmare Shepherd count towards devotion? Do those tokens copy the mana cost of the original creature as well?
Yes, the token is an exact copy of the original except for the power and toughness. It copies the mana cost so it adds to devotion. It's exactly how Pack Rat worked so well with devotion in the previous Theros.
What he could've done is in response to the ember hauler that targeted priest was sacrifice the gary to the priest. Trigger double Gary triggers and at the same time trigger ayara triggers.
I think there may have been a way for mono red to survive the end of game 1 with the foods and bringing cat back he could have brought back the cat and blocked and ate a good hed be at 1 then in response to upkeep emblem eat another food and bring cat back then depending on his draw maybe get enough devotion to swing lethal with erebos
The “in a adventure” used token at 4:30 is a Frodo picture? Please post a picture up close hahaha I’ve been thinking into making a mash-up mtg+adventure time art to use as an adventure zone, but Frodo is cooler. Idk why I didn’t think this one before Cheers from Brasil!
Seriously toward the end of game one he only needed to trigger the cat 6 times to win. Use erebos to sack it, then use a food to get the cat back, erebos sacks it again, and even use the oven to sack if needed to. He kept wasting Mana trying to draw cards when erebos already does that when the cat dies. He had plenty of life left at that time
Noone plays the three mana casting champions like Linden or torbran arya is the only one I've seen but there are literally 5 colors and 5 Champions but I'm the only one playing them for some reason
Noooooooo!!!!! Not garrison!!!!! Not mono red!! Say it ain’t so!!!! I guess they got too you too... never thought I’d see ole garr playing mono RED! I’m broken inside lol
Yeah, I bet you're playing some cardboard soup yourself. Mono red isnt what it use to be. It's not all burn and top decking. Garrison is playing big red.
@@joshbaker4021 ah. I was wondering because I see it on the Command Zone all the time as well and then I saw it here. I mayhave to start doing it because my Sorin sleeves stick like crazy
Soooooo many Ayara triggers missed x) Edit: Actually just feel like this guy (mono-b player) is playing stat sticks without any card text. Like he has no idea the cards does anything besides power / toughness. No offense, sorry :S
Mono red player had an extra 2 life at the end there since the tokens from shepherd don't count towards devotion. Regardless, good games and decks either way. c:
Garrison keeps adding 1 loyalty instead of 2 for Chandra's emblem! Anyway love the content
4:50 if u want to know what he means
@@kirakreep he means that Garrison adding 1 loyalty for chandra, awakened inferno, but this ability gives +2
Mono Red devotion looked amazing there, give Garrison a medal
Thanks for sharing fellas. Keep it up! Regards from Denmark.

dungeonmaster16 me and a friend of mine were wanting a mode like that too, spellforge/divination etc.
This is essentially an online gauntlet.
Just plat on cockatrice?

Kudos to garrison for the ending lesson about the mono black devotion mechanics
Can I get a deck list for this black deck please?

Man both devotion decks looks sweet.
He had the gutterbone in his graveyard the whole time that he could return to his hand and then play
black deck listing please

Garrison, if you were to play pioneer on a buget out of the two would you play rakdos midrange or dimir control and what cards would you use ?
The guy who was fighting garrison should have used erebos pay 2 life draw a card ability 8:48
anyone else mildly annoyed that his library isn't straight and in the lines?
Every time I play magic my autism starts kicking in because everything should be as symmetrical as possible
Yeah I need symmertry. The fact he plays his lands all the way to his right drives me nuts
Props to garrison for explaining how he lost. Respect.
What's that white thing, that was used for token on 4:02-4:03, called?
That's a custom Adventure zone token I made.
@@LibertyMTG Oh, got it. Was wandering why noone among our community uses those, didn't even think it'd be a custom token... Thanks a lot!
I was wondering yoo. It looked strictly worst than the previous adventure token being used.
Why on earth the black devotion is not using the cat - food combo? O.o

All those missed interactions by black deck. Oh boy!
What gave drakuseth haste at 08:07 ?
Purphoros has a static ability giving other creatures you control haste.
Where is the vid of Matt and Cheater, want to see the tilt, lol.
I love the red deck 👍👍👍
The adventure Garrison got out was actually worse than the original one for viewing
Yea but thts the usual adventure card that liberty coins mtg used. Plus its a hobbit meme, so thts a plus.
@@gridenourMTG fair enough
What about put torbran into that mono red?
Noone plays the three mana casting champions like Linden or torbran arya is the only one I've seen but there are literally 5 colors and 5 Champions but I'm the only one playing them for some reason
He is trying a new version of red devotion. Pretty much every other red deck runs torbran and the 2 drop enchantment
@@joshbaker4021 that is because its good

@@gridenourMTG your match ups were hard. At my local it's all control. And your locals its 1 control player (Matt) and the rest is aggro lol.
Would the knight on the adventure count towards the devotion?
No it's in the exile zone, not on the battlefield.
Why do people drag the card on the table as they draw?
It's an old way of making sure the cards are not sticking. As well as a way of showing its only one card
@@joshbaker4021 ah. I was wondering because I see it on the Command Zone all the time as well and then I saw it here. I mayhave to start doing it because my Sorin sleeves stick like crazy
What is the deck list for the mono red?
What is it that Garrison is always wringing down?
He is writing down life total changes and any known information (cards in hand, etc.)
Garrison needs some add meds. He fucking doesn't stop fidgeting with cards or dice or anyrhing he touches
17:09 garrison doesn't tick down 1 life from cat
It's it possible for Garrison to give us the list ;)
Maybe check the stream
We will have a deck tech video Monday.
Hmm.... Not a fan of how this mono black devo was built. Didn’t really showcase the strength of mono black devo
Wish there was commentator
Sorry my setup isn't fancy enough for that.

The tokens made by the ability of Nightmare Shepherd absolutely count towards devotion.
