A number of recent graduates of KT were spotted in the crowd to see and hear their former band mates. A couple of them can be seen at the 8:45 mark on the right side. One is waving to on the Bands supporters she recognized. She was in the flags and played bass in the stage band. There are two girls with her that I believe were also in the band. "Tippi" had been spotted in the crowd in another video on this day.
GREAT video....as you have provided to us for many years. Loved the part of marching on the street, even from the other side, it gives a much better perspective of the band and the city, it was a nice "change for the better". Excellent sound while inside the shopping mall. The problems of that venue must be crazy....but you always manage to make it work. Thanks again.
Ken, to the best of my knowledge...DVD's of Tachibana are only available in Japan, they do not ship outside of, or accept payments outside of Japan, and Japanese banks. I'm sure they are aware of the merchandising bonanza they have....but they (school and/or GBA) choose not to promote and distribute outside the country. If a viewer/reader knows other wise, please correct me.

Terrific group, someone or perhaps many have done a lot of time creating perfect choreography to match the music. There had to be choreographers, music arrangers, marching instructors, music instructors and i'm guessing perhaps some modeling instruction. The results are incredibly beautiful!
I have heard that they get some advice from a marching coach and music teachers but all practices are considered/arranged by the students themselves. Senior students are in charge of choreography for all their performances, arrange the training schedule and instruct juniors.

Great to see Tachibana on the road in 2018 in parades! They are truly amazing, "The Jewel of Kyoto!" Love the new music and also the different arraignments to some of last years music, and the Dancing...Well, it always outstanding!!! It's truly amazing how much work has been done is a relatively short period of time. A complete turnabout since they returned home from America less than three months ago. What is that piece of music at the 10:37 mark? Love their dancing to it!!!!! Marvelous dancing throughout the entire video!!!!!
Thank you so much. It is a beautiful segment in the march. The dance moves are so sensitive and so touching with the melody, that I see contrition, kindness, elegant feelings so well harmonized. I replay this part so many times just to let that feeling sink in. Its a work of art. この期のDMさんは外国のファンにもダンススキルやメイス(バトン)スキルが好評で、その事で横山コーチへのインタビュー記事が有りましたが「歴代級の身体能力」と答えておられました。またこの時のメンバーはローズのために鍛え上げられた世代で絶妙の振付と相まって橘の歴史の中でも特筆すべきアートパフォーマンスでした。
更にそのレベルは次期のメンバーにも引き継がれましたが私はこの両期のDMさんにはローズの動画を何度も見返す中で関心を持っていました。どの担当の子も並大抵ではないことは一目瞭然でしたがフラッグを捧げてあのダンス行進はかなり難しい。アルミポールなので軽いのですが風の影響で角度を保持するのは緻密な神経、コントロールが必要だと感じたのです。持って生まれたものか訓練と努力の成果か判りませんがそんな彼女達が作り上げたダンスマーチングは芸術作品でした。
2018年のさくらパレードは京都橘高校吹奏楽部のパレードの最高到達点だと思います。
ローズパレードへの特訓の成果や、アーケードの音の反響の影響もありますが。
新学期直前とはいえ1・2年生だけ、しかもパーカス隊が4人しかいない状況で、この演奏は凄すぎる。
特に最後の「トリステーザ」、言葉では表現できない何かが爆発しています。
Clearly, this is one of the best High School Marching Bands in the world!! Their musicianship plus choreography is absolutely outstanding. Well done!

こんなにステップ踏んで揃えてぴょんぴょん跳ねてるのに楽器の演奏なんて…本当にすごいと思います。こんなのぶっ通しでやったら酸欠で息があがりまくってそれどころじゃ無いはずなのに…肺活量と筋力…どうなってるんでしょう。日々の練習、筋トレの成果ですね。素晴らしい演奏ありがとうございました。

にわかファンですけど、ローズパレードの後１、２年生だけでここまで仕上げたんですかね？素晴らしい！
２０１８年新生橘待ってました出陣です。また田中先生長い間橘高校吹奏楽部のためにありがとうございます。
アップありがとうございます。大学の同級生で軽音でブラスしてたやつに見せたら「私なんか、歩いただけでミストーン。踊ったりステップふんだり。こんな演奏しながらのパフォーマンス、絶対に無理・・」とあきれてました。このステップ覚えるだけでも大変そう。猛烈な練習の賜物ですね。
公開、ありがとうございました。 海外遠征を体験した新２・３年生、これから入部する１年生を加え、さらに飛躍することを願っています。

確認不足ですが、例年京都橘高校吹奏楽部はパレードで3曲新しい演奏演技に取り組んでいたように思います。今年はなんと4曲で、大強化されたディズニーメドレーと併せて、寺町通商店街をリピートなく演奏しきっちゃうほどのボリューム。そのレベルももちろん見劣りするどころか更なるＵＰをしていて、どこまで彼らは進化するのでしょうか。
