In the latest clip, Jose Canseco responded to his old manager Tony La Russa criticizing his decision to expose Mark McGwire as a PED user. Considering La Russa's close relationship with McGwire, Canseco didn't take La Russa's comments very personal. He also revealed that he's still taking PEDs and is very healthy. However, Canseco cautioned against overusing steroids and mixing them with other chemicals. He also explained why he still takes steroids and dispelled "roid rage" as a myth.

You can say whatever you want about the guy, but everything he says about steroids is spot on accurate

He s absolutely right about steriods. He s educated himself so much that with also knowing his body and using the right dosages u can be healthy. Too many people overdue things and that's when bad things happen. Too much of anything is bad for u.

Jose is one really cool person.
I first thought that he would be a jerk and I was dead wrong . . .I walked away really respecting and liking him allot.
It is sad what he has had to deal with in the past.

Ken was probably pretty close on that prediction. At the time, it seemed impossible.

In the end people in the game know Jose was a good teammate who had his guys back but they turned on him. He was a legendary player and he did exactly what the sport allowed them to do and was used drugs with zero penalties for years. When the 💩 hit the fan he got turned on by his former friends and guys he thought would be on his side weren't.
If you dig deeper--the feds knew this was happening--we just did not have the net and smart phones when it was happening--but there were the rumors.All conseco did was come clean about it--btw i think they should keep these guys in the record books with a small asterisk--because it did take a lot of skill other then being strong to play ball at that level.If it were just steroids--then all these roid monsters would be in the MLB hittinh 90 homeruns a year and that is not happening and in fact many baseball players look like normal folks.Greg maddux was a perect example--he looked like a corporate accountant--from his demeanor to his build--but not only could throw a baseball very hard--but could place the ball within an inch anywhere in the strike zone.

My buddy is the same age as me, 52, and he is on TRT(Testosterone Replacement Therapy). They are prescribed syringes that he injects himself in the ass every morning. His levels were low and he was run down and tired a lot. He looks and moves better than he ever did. He says they have given him a better life. Jose's is spot on with how little people know about it. Used properly, under medical supervision, steroids have proven medical benefits. It's the guys who abuse them and mix them with other shit that it gets out of control.

Testosterone is not a chemical it's a hormone. And low levels of T are linked to depression suicidal thoughts, lack of productivity, lethargy, fatigue, insomnia injuries etc etc it's a lot deeper than just muscle density. All drugs are meant for medical purposes, like cocaine, heroin, marijuana and steroids for the purpose of relieving pain. It is the abuse of them which makes them negative

Great interviews, thanks for doing them. The one thing I never felt about Josè Canseco wasn't was a liar. He tends to know what he was doing and what went on during the Steroid Era. He admitted as much. He definitely had great numbers in his career. As a Detroit Tigers fan during his hay day, I hated to see him coming along with Mark McGwire. As for Tony LaRussa, definitely not my favorite baseball managers in the world. You can't deny his record of success. Incidentally, he's back where he started with the Chicago White Sox. As for Mark McGwire, at least he admitted the known truth years ago but after he was caught. Honestly what annoys me is Alex Rodriguez who also was busted using 'drugs' in baseball. But is paraded and celebrated by baseball through ESPN AND FOX Sports "as if he's done nothing." All while Canseco, McGwire, Palmero and Clemens are derided. Barry Bonds (who at one point was a great actor. Watch his multiple appearances on the show Renegade. Starring Lorenzo Lamas) was never specifically caught using steroids, tested positive through any test. Because he lied and obstructed justice as it were claimed, the people who frankly didn't like his personality went (and still don't) go out of their way to persecute him in the media.

Here's a true story. Tony was adopted. I was at the hospital visiting a wounded associate. TK was waiting in the car, counting money. As I was stepping off the elevator, this woman handed me this package wrapped in bed sheet..and screams"this belongs to you" & she high tailed it outta there...I thought it could been a bomb or something , cuz it was moving a bit, like a timer, idk?
Anyways, good thing I felt something wet & warm and heard it cackling..omg, this is alive, not only that, it took a piss! Good thing for that cuz I was about to throw in down the nearest corridor. So, she said he was mine, so wtf? I get to the car...Kirkland is there eating a pizza pie from the Tony Rosati's junk next door, it was pepperoncini & anchovy. I had no diaper for this kid so I took off my french silk shirt & wrapped him up in it. That baby was really crying, must've been starving so TK gives him pizza to pacify him. It not only shut his little yap, he was eating it! I gotta admit, he looked so adorable, eating that pizza, being wrapped up in my french woven silk shirt!
Then I said "La Russo". It fit perfect! Then TK says "Tony LaRusso!" We got back to the safe house and then I realized I couldn't raise this prodigy. He needed a mother but I'd be there as his godfather. We found him the perfect home too! The rest is history. Cannoli
