I personally think that this Lithuanian selection is mainly going to be between 2 artists: Silvester Belt and The Roop.
Why these 2?
The Roop has won Lithuanian selection twice before now. And they have not yet released their song.
Silvester Belt's song in this competition, on the other hand, is released...and is #1 on Lithuania's Spotify Charts.

Song is about having no love near. Its like ongoing circle of someone's unwanted attempts to force him to be a special person and him getting sadly fed up with it.
The meaning is almost like of the Calumn's song" Ill be standing on my own"- a story of a searching lonely soul who cannot leave the standard frame of society and live free loving life at present time
To be honest even in Lithuanian language there is a lot of word play with many meanings and makes you think what is going on. It took me several times to hear it to get to the root of the feeling and situation.

I think He's not dancing in the beginning because it's very related with the song lyrics which tells us about a person who has something kind of mentallity problems in he's life and mindset.. but in the end He decided to dance even he doesn't want and still has those weird feelings.. (Nebenoriu šokt, bet man reikia šokt). I think this is really well done thought and meaningful song then it could seems!

I love this. I think William described it perfectly, the song is like a loop and in this case that works well. Personally, I'd prefer it's kept in the Lithuanian language. The nose piece, yeah I don't understand. I expect Silverster will finish in the top 3 (which of course could be 1st). 3 more heats to go, and more songs yet to be released. I'm looking forward to seeing how Shower perform in Heat 3. It's another excellent song.

As an Italian I can say three things:
1) is it a good song? Of course! It's fresh, has a nice building, has an interesting voice and is in Lithuanian (which is a language I love!); in fact I'm sure that this guy will be successful in the music business because he has already chosen a path that is very suitable for him and the current market even if he obviously still has to mature but this song is already an excellent starting point;
2) could it be winning material on the Malmö stage? I don't think so: the previous editions of Eurovision have accustomed us to much more engaging and enthralling pieces (both for the ballads and for the more lively pieces and both in terms of dynamics and choreography); the song is very pleasant but the staging is not impressive and above all I don't think it will stand out among the others in the competition (Lithuania can do even better);
3) will it make its way onto the radio? Yes, but I don't know how long it will be able to keep the hype high: the piece lacks something (a peak for example) and I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing because it lends itself to repeated listening which tends to " consume it" quickly... in fact in my head it already sounds similar to other songs I've already heard (it doesn't have a really distinctive character).
However, I absolutely crave for hearing The Roop's proposal: they are the only ones who so far have brought something international and truly innovative to the Eurovision stage. I still listen to their songs (not just Esc's ones) today. Obviously I expect a review from WiwiBlog! 😁
Fun fact: the opening of this song with the dark silhouette of the singer contrasted with a kind of bright door on the screen is identical to the opening of Discoteque by The Roop in 2021 🙃
