Had this played out, we'd have one dead mantis and one victorious hornet.
If That Hornet was in a hunting mode it would have easily defeated that mantis, it was more concerned with trying to escape , The mantis took a shot at snaring the Hornet 0:35 in the video but quickly realized it was too big and powerful to subdue , disengaged from the fight and looked for a escape route
