Handgame Trails Episode #1 - Délı̨nę

A group of Dene hand game players from Fort Liard, Fort Nelson, and Fort Providence travel north to the remote community of Deline, NT for a men's traditional hand game event in February 2023.
Situated on the shores of Great Bear Lake, Deline is a spiritual place, and deep rooted in dene culture.
The biennial event draws people from across Denendeh, true to the unifying nature of the traditional game played by dene people for countless generations.
The 'Handgame Trails' series offers viewers an authentic view into the world of traditional dene handgames, as a means to showcase its impact on dene communities far and wide.
