Hi Lynanne! I love the poncho! The color is so pretty! I know your granddaughter will love it! We don't go anywhere on New Year's Eve. There are so many fireworks going off in our neighborhood it's like a war zone. Our little dog is scared to death of that noise so we wouldn't think of leaving him alone. Bless him. I wish you and Tom a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

Charlotte is going to look so cute in that poncho! I already love your shawl. Those colors are on the top of my favorites list. I bought yarn yesterday, and started the owly scarf this morning. I have chronic migraines, and my head is hurting today. I have restarted a couple of times, and I finally decided I should put it down until I can see straight. I have mastered the bridge stitch though. I can't wait to get back to work on it.
Feel better Bonne I can totally sympathize with the migraines. I was down all day Wednesday with one. Today is day 2 of migraine hangover UGH

Actually both. I carry it for the stripes then cut it to do the lace

It’s fingering weight with a 4.5mm hook. I don’t think I mentioned that ! I’ll try to remember going forward

There are several books on Amazon Check out Toni with TL Yarn Crafts, Jada with Jada in Stitches or Mode Bespoke for some great tutorials

The shawl is really easy. It’s rows of extended single crochet and the lace is cluster double crochets

Ya … I have a rule in my home.. now just me and husband lol 😂 but rule is no one can leave/drive be out of house after 3:00 pm on New Year’s Eve… because of all the drunk drivers on roads. I want to keep us safe cause the idiots out there who drink and drive don’t care about anyone else but selves and it’ll only be some innocent people who are ones who get hurt badly or killed not the drunk’s. 🤬😢😤 it’s a real pet peeve of mine. I’m the only one who can keep my family safe… so that’s my rule.
So on that note… you too have a very safe and happy new year as well 🥳

For many years, my husband worked nights, so it has always been a crochet or knit night for me. Hubby worked many years in the restaurant/bar business, so NYE holds no Attraction to either of us and we enjoy pizza, football and just being home together. I do not like making items with a long starting chain, but love the stitch you taught in your tutorial and look forward to using it in a project soon, probably a cowl. 🙂 You did a great job and I appreciate the work that went into filming it. Happy New Year to you and Tom.
I totally understand Tom spent many years in management of a pizza chain and was gone for New Year’s Eve We love just staying home watching football and watching the ball drop in our pj’s

I love Tunisian crochet I have made three blankets doing it one king size two queen size. As well as smaller projects.
A king size must have taken a really long time
@@ninasknotscrochet I start the blankets in January but do not work on them during summer pick it up again in September so they are done forever Christmas.

I would start with a scarf using a bigger needle made of wood or bamboo
