    Amazing views. I totally see why it’s a popular place 👍😀

      Oh for sure! Not one to visit if crowds aren't your thing.

    Now your in my neck of the woods! Arches will always be my favorite place however I understand Edward Abbey alot more. He was the park ranger there before any roads or trails much less signs were established. Alot had changed with proper man made trails, fences, ect. I suppose at my current age that could be helpful but at the same feel sad. Thank you so much for getting up close and personal to these beautiful, awesome red rocks. I really miss them. 💜❤️💜❤️💚

      I can't even imagine what some of Utah's national parks must have looked like in Abbey's time much less hundreds of years ago when one would have no idea of their existence and just stumbling upon them in travels. 😳😄

    I was there at sunset, sitting inside Windows Arch. Watching the sun go down was magical. Yes, balance rock was so much larger in person. I have a small YT channel, and I made some videos of my 3 day visit. Great video

      Ah, man. I bet that was the best sunset experience. 🤩

    We took our daughters here this summer as the first part of a national parks road trip. It must have left an impression, because I was watching "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" recently, and they recognized the formations that are shown in the opening scenes for Indy's Boy Scout hike. One of the scenes shows them marching right past Double Arch.

      That's awesome that your daughters recognized the sites! Just from that opening scene it looks like they were all over that park. 😄

    We visited a couple weeks ago for the first time and while I was underneath the arches it made me realize how lucky I was to be able to see these majestic rock formations because as you said, One day they will be gone. Great video Glen. Thank you for sharing.

      Curious how the crowds were in cooler weather and without the timed entry. I BELIEVE the timed entry trial has ended...?

    • @rducut
      @rducut 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CactusAtlas The timed trial pilot ended when we were there and the crowds were very minimal. It was a chili 25° at 7am but it was wonderful when the sun came out. Nov is the time to go in my opinion as long as there is no snow.

    The arches are so amazing to look at, but the crowds were crazy. I've seen pictures of Double Arch with no people in it and always wonder what sort of wizardry was used to get those shots.

      Right!? I'm going to guess a very cold day with no snow and a LOT of patience. 😂

    WOW! You did such a great job capturing the beauty of Arches! I was there a couple weeks ago but only for three hours, too rushed.

    Your videography just keeps getting better and better.
    You mentioned the strong wind that was coming through one of the arches. I think that might be one phenomenon of how the arches are created in the first place. There is a similar place in Utah called the Great Chamber where a person can almost get blown away. Jamal Green is currently sharing a blog of that and other nearby features. Tell him I sent you. Cheers!

    Awsome video of our favorite NP!!... What would be your favorite 3 mile trail at Arches if you don't mind me asking.??. I'm heading back there in 5 months!
    LOVE THE CHANNEL

    • @CactusAtlas
      @CactusAtlas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately we're not super sure about length of trails. Glenn's favorite is the Devil's Garden but that one is far more than 3 miles if you do the loop. The Windows Section in this video and the Park Avenue Trail in our other Arches NP video are good ones though! 😊

      Our filmed dates are in the descriptions of all our videos. We try to always add them as we often have to build up videos for when we cannot film. 👍
