Mechanic over 40 years, sometimes leaks are caused from poor venting from oils getting hot, thinning out and expanding. Those rubber caps in the middle of those hubcaps actually have a very small vent hole in the very middle, but most likely those gaskets do wear out on a regular basis, good to see it. Also when you changed your wheel seals did you check your diff vent plugs? There are vent plugs on top of all drive axles, they vary in looks but do the same thing. If the vent plugs are plugged they allow pressure to build up in the axles which can cause wheel seals to leak. The most common type is it threads in and is about an inch high and has a cap on top, if the cap on top doesn't spin when you turn it with your hand it's seized and not venting. The other style is a bent solid rubber hose style. Go under your truck and look for it and you will see what I'm talking about. It's good to even remove it which is easy, clean it out with brake clean, and reinstall using pipe sealer on the threads as a regular maintenance maybe every 2 years depending on driving conditions. It will take about 20 - 30 minutes to do for each vent.
Excellent advice! Hub gaskets do wear out. I believe Stemco makes them and very easy to change. We would use longer 5/16 bolts with locking washers, I'm sure there's a torque spec for those bolts but I can't remember. Those axle nuts come loose a lot...
BTW if your replacing the gasket get new rubber middle caps which are cheap, like I said they have vent holes in the middle and can plug up from those rubber caps getting hard or brittle over time.
Never lock tight them, if tighten right with lock rings and new bolts they are good, also when you have aluminum caps with steel bolts going into them you will have oxidation, and those small steel bolts will break inside the hub. Trust me it happens a lot in the rust belt on older equipment. And a pain to get those small bolts out once they break.

A little blue loctite may help.
