Did you test the wifi module even more after this video? Is it working OK? Do you reckon it´s worth the money? Do you know if it works with a mac? Or is it only PC?
I have not done a brew with it, but when I do, I will certainly post the video. I did try Sous Vide a steak and the WIFI was nice to see when the water was up to temperature. Do you "need" the WIFI module...no not at all, but do you "need" the Braumeister to brew beer...I find value in the module with the ability to update the controller's software and secondly monitor and put names to mash profiles so I am clear and don't pick the wrong one when making a beer. Changing units is not of huge plus for me, I was starting to get the hang of Celsius for brewing, but switching to Fahrenheit will help a little bit as all of my domestic brewing books and magazines are in Fahrenheit. The module's user guide does mention PC and never mentions Mac. Section 8 specifically says "Have your operating system (e.g. Windows 7 or higher)..." so I believe it to be only PC. As you can see in the video I am using a Mac with Bootcamp running Windows. Now, an important distinction here, the operation software is run through a browser. So you can use your Mac and any old browser to operate the Braumeister, change recipes and monitor. When I brew I plan on monitoring through an iPad or my iPhone. One could even remote into a device on your home network and bring up the monitor software. Again, it is only when updating the controllers software that one needs to be done through a PC. If you got anymore questions, I will be happy to answer them. Happy brewing.
Torodd Tenold you use just a regular browser on your phone of mobile device. Just like I am using here on the computer. You put in the IP address and as long as you are on the same network as the Braumeister you can monitor or control it from the browser. I do not know if an app is coming but the browser works just fine so I would not count on it.
Yah the Beta version had a lot of German which is fine by me. I would rather have them focus on improving the software and adding features than making the the pop ups right now English.
No, the software is OK. As you can see in the video there is not a great user guide so you have to figure our what buttons do what, but once figured out I don't have any issues.
Found this very helpful, agree inputting password a nightmare but got there in the end, thanks for posting.

Have you been able to connect to your Braumeister remotely? ie, from home via your mobile/ipad, computer?
Does the Braumeister always flash on start up?! Just turned mine on for the first time and it really freaked me out so I turned it straight off again!
Mod Grip like the lights? Yes my flash and make a "ding" sound. If I remember correctly the screen does do a little flicker on start up.
Halo. do the software have a app you can use on the telephone. if not. do you know if it`s coming

It says you can only change Settings directly on the Braumeister :-)
