- 🌱🍑🌱RECIPE ⬇️ Gwen invites her mother over for tea and bakes a cinnamon crusted Peaches and Cream Pie. They make a luminous herbal tea from calendula flowers and the elegant Rose of Attar geranium. They enjoy their tea in Gwen's garden on a late summer day when 'the sun was warm and the winds were prosy'.
🌱🍑🌱PEACHES & CREAM PIE 🌱🍑🌱
Pie crust for double crust pie
6 cups peeled & sliced peaches
3/4 cup sugar
5 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
-Place unbaked pie crust in pie pan. Fill crust with peaches.
-In a mixing bowl place 3/4 cup sugar, flour and sour cream. Mix well and then pour over peaches.
-Place the top crust on pie and fold edges and crimp.
-Brush beaten egg over the top of the pie including the crimped edges.
-In a small bowl mix 1/4 cup sugar with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle generously over pie.
- With a sharp knife poke a few holes on the top crust to vent steam.
-Bake at 400' for 35-40 minutes.
NOTES
Cool pie completely or it will be runny when you cut it.
Make a pot of tea and enjoy with a friend.

I have seen something like that in my homeland. The rastafarians used it to make bowls, handbags etc. You using it as a dipper was very functional, especially the long handle that made reaching tight spots easier. I love how "crafty " you are. Well done Gwen.
