Exilecon is a event in New Zelland and was planned like 3-4 years ago to happen this day with this expansion + trailers, this is just a coincidence. you should check twitch pathofexile for the live stream.
You know how you can tell a game is gonna be good? The trailer has actual gameplay footage instead of a fluff cinematic which literally shows you nothing. Good work PoE
@@eh8432 While Ultimatum certainly started off with a bang... of sorts... and the player retention isn't looking great for this league, the general player count is still pretty amazing. The player base is definitely growing and I don't see GGG doing anything to actively screw with their game. The worst thing that has happened is them doing nothing to improve the servers and player experience, which honestly isn't entirely their fault, considering the number of resources that must be going to PoE 2 (4.0).

I didn't like POE and played grim dawn over and over BUT what I love about the developers behind POE is that they want to deliver a game that ARPG fans love. I really love their passion and it seems like they always listen to their fan. I hope they become more bigger and wish them a great future. Can't wait to play this and spend a hundreds of hour on this.

Same here. Druid werewolf was the absolute fav in my D2 days, but the D4 werebear just doesn't seem right, not sure what they do to the werewolf. At the same time the werewolf here looks amazing. Truly can't wait for this!

ah man. As a new player, these trailers actually got me into path of exile...now I'm so hyped to see a fallen Oriath...the corrupted templars look sick! The desert stuff looks incredible. Dynamic moving environments are such a good idea in games like these; a lot of unexplored potential. Their art team is on point!
The new character models look really good, I hope they'll let us move the camera around more so we can look at our characters better, even if it's just in town.

It's unfair to say Diablo is a challenger. Poe has gotten more new content since this summer than Diablo 3 has gotten since 2015 and that content was priced at 15 dollars (and these devs are the same people working on Diablo 4). It's going to sell a lot of copy because Blizzard is good at selling air to casuals, much like EA is with their sports games. For Arpg fans I have a hard time seeing Blizzard actually being able to challenge PoE with this, I'd be surprised if they even manage to make something more interesting than Grim dawn or Lost Ark.
Just got heavily into PoE. I'm only level 15 but damn I love the game. I grew up with the genre. As this game has elements from Champions of Norrath, Buldars Gate & Diablo, I feel some Final Fantasy in there too.
@@BooguyTheAdept it's hard to discern, but it would make sense. Since current version has opposing deities on it as well. Besides, they are the only 2 gods remaining iirc. It would be stupid not to use them in the new campaign that follows events of the previous one, so It's safe to assume that they will play a big role here.

Though judging by this video and some phrasing in the vid I just linked, maybe their are multiple Ascendancy Classes that can shape shift. Maybe On the Marauder , or the Templar if my theory that the old Templar would have died in the last 20 years and that in 2 the class will have a new model (and possibly name). The Shapeshifter in that vid looked barbaric but not quite as big and buff as the Marauder. Personally I prefer the Class/Archetype approach of Diablo, but I don't trust Blizzard anymore.
@@patrickbuckley7259 This is not accurate. The Ranger has an Ascendancy that gives her the option to shapeshift into a Cat. Werewolf and apparently a Werebear form are available to all other characters.

actually the way they are going to do is that by the time the second game comes out, the first game will mechanically be almost identical and the story will be just at the edge where the other starts. not to mention all the tabs and the mtx will be translated to the next game. I stopped playing the game last year just about this month, I thought I was done for good. Downloading it back right now as I'm writing this.
GGG actually managed to top the 3.0 announcement and exceed every single expectation we could've hoped for. By the gods! PS. What's with the boat at the end? Very interesting that they added that after the PoE2 title.
One technology I didn't see in the original POE engine is the ability to move the floor with the player. The ship and that wagon looks like they finally have, for the lack of a better term at hand, parallax movement.
I wonder if it's a hint at a new mechanic like having your own ship, and being able to explore various islands. Maybe having to contain the spreading corruption.

@@lisamarieschnee It doesn't need them. It has had the best ARPG gameplay since Diablo 2 the past decade uncontested.
Has depth but it feels like shit to play, requires a loot filter, and isn't really all that fun to get into unless you like reading wiki and stealing peoples meta builds.
@@supradoom True. I did one play through till lvl 60ish and stopped. Loved teh time spent playing, but so much content and filters and bags and builds ect. If they find a good balance, Im all in.

Been palying since the early beta when you farmed Fellshrine Ruins in public merciless games, when there was only 2 acts. God I love this game. The best that ever happened after d2.
