I have been emailing NHRA for three years asking them why they were ignoring the fastest top fuel bikes on the planet. I'm sick and tired of the all Harley all the time show at NHRA events. They run the worlds best top fuel, funny cars on the planet, so why not have the best top fuel bikes also. Now if we can just get NHRA to stop giving Harley's a 51 cubic inch advantage in pro stock motorcycle the world will be in balance once again.

Sorry to say, but wtf is this question? A 1/4 mile within 4 sec with an endspeed from just around 200 M/H? It's an 8th of a mile, 660 feet or 201 meters, sir.......
I believe if Dave Vantines bike was LOWER and longer he would achieve better traction. You have to allow the growth of the rear tire along with the air rushing underneath the bike would certainly have an affect on traction. My belief it's better to reduce the amount of lift and glue the bike down to the strip as much as possible.
