Comparison of Liquitex and Golden heavy body acrylic paints - Which is better?

    I’ve compared golden and liquitex too, but instead used the same shades such as ultramarine and titanunium white, & found the liquitex better for my needs since I like the appearance of brushstrokes in my work. Golden is a great brand too, though, and seems better people that like more blended effects

      Thank you for your comment. It's great that Liquitex works for you. I only bought this set because it was on offer. I like both brands- and if Liquitex shows off your lovely brush marks that's great. I am fairly new to working with acrylics, so it' all about learning and experimenting and trying things out. I mostly have Winsor &Newton acrylics and a few by Jackson's art and two sets from Arteza. But they are all not heavy body. I actually really like acrylic inks - the opposite of heavy body acrylics as they are great for effect and layering.

    I always paint whit liquitex but i am coriouse about golden. I wanna buy 7 colours like i do whit liquitex basics acrylic paint. My colours are Cadmium red middle hue Cadmium Yellow middle hue Cobalt blue hue Titanium white Mars black Silver and gold. I mix my own colours. I love you,re video

      Thank you for you kind comments. I think you can't go wrong with either brand if you can afford them. I use a lot of Winsor & Newton acrylics and love them too.
