I almost shit my pants when April appeared. Me, a die fan of The Longest Journey, and April as one of my fav characters of all time, I swear to god my heart just stopped at that scene.
@@paulsmith9192 no April did came back through a portable reborn but saga already old from the start of tlj. So spoiler alert: saga was already old in tlj while she was talking to the people in her house. I don't know what they're but I assume those are her grandkids or niece and nephew.
I LOVE April in TLJ, and I could undestand the direction her story took in the second game (though I'd change the end xd), but playing the last one I read in an interview that Ragnar said "this is April´s story" or something like that, and at the end I was waiting for her to appear , or hoping to see Saga really becoming April just for that... not to mention that I totally agree with KryptonKnight, Saga's just a big and forced deus ex machina. Maybe it's because they were in a Schedule or something, but book five feels for me like when you fight with the wrapping paper and the present ends uplooking messy instead of smooth. I could go on and on but I'm just not in the mood xd
I'm sad. I cried alot during her funeral. But i'm extremely pleased with the direction her story took, because it shows that not everything has to be awesome and optimistic and strong. April had been spiralling down darkness since she learnt she wasn't the guardian. It was just pure conditions that her life was taken. I sort of blame na'an but well that's a long story. The point is, April, the one who restored the balance was strong once. It doesn't guarantee she will always be strong. That's just pure reality. She was the hero but in the end, there were enemies waiting for her death. They wouldn't have waited for her to die in some glorious sacrificial way. Her death was random and that is why it's so beautiful. So beautiful and sad.

I think her voice kind of mirrored her mental state. In TLJ she was young, frightened, and in awe of everything new that was happening to her. In Dreamfall she's older and disillusioned by the ending of TLJ, the state of her life, and feeling without purpose. In this scene she seems more at peace.
