＜T-SQUARE＞
Marking their 43th anniversary in 2021,
T-SQUARE is a pop instrumental /smooth Jazz band Japan can boast to the world.
Not only having been active in Japan, they have also been keeping the heat on their overseas activities as they release albums and tour the U.S. and Asia. In Korea, ever since they first performed in 1994, they have been back four times and have gained enormous popularity. In 2009, they visited Taiwan for the first time for a sold out concert at the renowned National Concert Hall, followed by an outdoor concert with 10,000+ audience in 2012 as part of 10th anniversary of National Theatre and Concert Hall’s Summer Jazz concert series. In the same year they were back in Thailand after 8 years at Mahanakorn The Riverfront Music Fest.

I just learned about this band 20 mins ago while listening to some of the work of OHIRA Isamu from the Grand Turismo racing simulation series. Apparently somehow related? Still discovering it all but aww man is it beautiful smooth funk and jazz.
@@r4microds yes, they did some work on the Gran Turismo series, like Moon Over the Castle etc. You wanna check out "Truth", "Natural", "Wave" and so many others. I’ve been listening to them for years now and there’s still a couple cds from the 10s I need to discover. The discography they got is so generous and rich. They approach many styles of music and they always sound MASSIVE. I wish I could discover all these albums again :).

１５年くらい前に『あんみつ』のお二人と、また別の機会に須藤満さんとお酒を呑んだ事がありますが、本当に良い方々で素敵な思い出として今でも色褪せません。

31年前、アルバム発売前にFMの番組で流れたのがこの曲。
「これスクェアなの？」とビックリしたのが思い起こされ、
このメンバーでの渾身の演奏とともにグッと来ずには居られません。
河野さん素晴らしい演奏です。

歳を感じさせない。安藤さんのギター最高です。ドラムもベースもキーボードもピアノも波に乗ってるという感じで最高です！ブラボー😊
この曲はどこか切なげで、でも実は力強く逞しい感じがして大好きです。・・・って大好きが多いのがSQUAREのいい所でもあるのですが。
主役の安藤さんの存在に負けず劣らず河野さんの存在が抜群にGoodです!これからのスクエアもリードしてください!

３０年前に青森放送の金曜ワイド青森でタレントの伊奈かっぺいさんが大友寿郎アナウンサーに司令を出して青森県内の駅で探す駅前物語のテーマソングでスタイリッシュでかっこいい曲で曲名分からないでこの前やっとわかってあのフジテレビＦ1と同じTスクウェアだとは分かりませんでした❗️
