I'm nearing 60 yrs - ouch! But I'm so glad that girls like you are discussing your vaginas! Being raised during the '60s & 70s was all about doing your own thing or loving the one your with - but without any ADVICE from anyone, let alone mother! As I've learned about what is good or bad for my vagina was self taught, word of mouth or read very little of. The need to keep yourself clean down there was about using douches & that's it! Douches are about the worst thing for attacking your vagina with bacteria. Do they still sell them? And yeast infections were a scary thing of the past too! Of course we weren't encouraged or informed about having safe sex. I ended up having a hysterectomy at age 42 because of fibroids & I never did have children. I once left a tampon in for weeks without my knowledge, ended up with an infected Fallopian tube & toxic shock syndrome! Anyway, the woman's reproductive system is very complicated & girls need to hear this information to keep it in a "happy playground" environment. Thank you for informing the younger generation about these issues that were not discussed with me back then... sex was considered "dirty" (& I guess that's why we experienced a lot of painful & dirty situations). Healthy habits will make your life a whole lot happier!!! I don't know how you girls can put up with wearing thongs or shaving your pubes to the max, but I know we lived thru some crazy stuff to attract that guy's attention too. Keep up your integrity & continue to inform!

The thing about panty liners makes no sense. If you don't use them then the discharge just sits in your underwear and collects moisture. You should wear pantyliners because you can change them often which you can't always do with your underwear
If you constantly wear panty liners and pads when you are not on your period, you can get rashes and chaffed on your vagina. It really hurts. It's better to wear them only when necessary.

You should change your panty liner at least once or twice a day, but you don't get rashes from discharge, because there isn't enough to cause rashes and if there is enough discharge to cause a rash than you should see a doctor because it isn't normal. Most rashes are caused from not wiping properly or at all after going to the bathroom.
