      Was hoping to find more practical information, like I book a reservation. Be accepted. Than what ? do I meet up with the person to get a key ? does he comes over to the place to hand me key over? Totally new with this

    • @KRodCollective

      @@bruggetje Hi there! Some places have an instant book, where you will be accepted right away. Others, you have to wait for the approval of the host. In most descriptions it will tell you how to get the key. However, nowadays, most Airbnbs have lockboxes. So the host will give you the code a couple of days before your arrival and you can get the key from the lockbox when you arrive. But it all depends on the host. Also, once you are booked, the host will send you a message with all the details on how to get the key and all the hours rules etc. If you have any questions or things are unclear with their directions and instructions you can always contact the host via Airbnb or their preferred method of contact. I’ve even had to call a host once because I couldn’t find the house and they drove in front of me to help me find it. I hope this helps. 💕

    I recently discovered that Air BnB has Air BnB Experiences. I am a solo traveler and Certified Introvert. Although I love traveling alone, I like joining a group for an activity so that I’m not the only person talking to the host (as an introvert, this can be draining to me). Air BnB allows you to see how many other people have booked the same experience, on the same day at the same time. This way, I know whether I’m going to be the only person and can be relieved of holding the entire conversation with the host. I ❤️ it!!!

      Hi La Toya! Yes! Airbnb Experiences is great! I'm so glad they have that feature. This is so true. Yes, I can imagine as an introvert how important having that information would be. Especially being able to know exactly how many people are going to be doing the experience. That way you can fully prepare. So great! Love that! 💕

    Great video! The first thing I check on a listing is whether there are windows visible in the photos. Some hosts try to hide the fact that their space is in a basement unit where there is only 1 or 2 windows and they are placed high and small on a wall. Also, if the image shows weird room proportions or angled walls or furniture, or it seems dark or slightly dingy, don’t think to yourself “oh nbd, it’s probably just the camera”. It’s not! People spend hours taking and selecting the best photos for renting out their property, so what you see is the very best image they came up with. If it’s not to your standard, don’t book it! Thank you so much for your content.

    Hi!! I plan on using airbnb one day, but I'm pretty nervous on it. Ive heard that when you reserve a place, others can also reseve a spot during your time as well? I'd rather not stay with a stranger if this is true. And if it is true, how can i avoid those spots?

    • @KRodCollective
      @KRodCollective  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! It depends on the Airbnb. If you’re booking a shared room, it will be a room in an apartment or home. Sometimes the person living there is also there (in a separate room) and sometimes there are other travelers. If you book an entire place, it should just be you. If you’re feeling really nervous about them, send a message to the host. Also, don’t forget to check hotel prices as well because sometimes Airbnb isn’t worth it. Hope this helps! 💕

    Quick question: once you book and add your payment, it says the host will confirm within 24 hours. What happens next?
