The concrete is ground into grades, screenings, & commercial Rip-Rap. This limits digging for raw materials, compromising the bedrock, if you can purchase recycled mat'l for roughly half. On new construction there are tax incentives for recycling mat'ls and the supplier gets the credit for the recycled mat'ls delivered. A lot of paper work has to be submitted for tax credits. If your state does not endorse this, I would lobby for this, it's done here in Illinois. Thanks Dave for the view of the local recycling operations down there in florida! I just got my first construction job as a laborer. They let me keep whatever trash and scrap I want that’s gonna go in the dumpster anyway. I have tons of copper and wires now and scrap is fascinating to me . Finding money in other people’s trash is like modern day treasuring hunting lol
Is wood CND such as 2x4's, plywood, etc. mulched also? They could use a magnet to remove nails and screws,,, just wondering. Thanks for showing the dumps and how they work on this large of a operation.
Great behind the scene action of a demo company when i was doing demolition the company had a crusher on the job and would take the crushed concrete to a yard and sell them it
so metal prices in Brick NJ are shred 650 100lbs clean shred or prepared steel is about $8.00 per 100. prices are not down aluminum is .50 cents but very little iron on it… my scrap yard goes direct to a mill so all aluminum is the same except cans and clean aluminum wire
I’m wondering whether the price for steel will drop when the material from the Key Bridge in Baltimore hits the market. Given it’s already right at a shipping port, it’s possible it will all be shipped overseas.

Dude i cant wait for the next big scrap run ... Cause i do believe yhey are cheating yall on prices.... Im lucky where i live we get to dump concrete an landscape for free at our county run dump now the transfer station they high .. when i do have to pay only paying $3 per cubic yard
If your using acetylene your throwing money out the window. 100# propane tanks are a hellavalot cheaper to use, ( propane gas) with your high pressure oxygen. Propane is a little slower to burn, remember, this is demolition, again a cheaper gas than acetylene. Same results, it cuts the shit up.

Wow, that first scrap yard you mentioned doesn’t seem to be too savvy. Let’s review: you have over 13,000 subscribers. No telling how many of these subscribers are in your immediate area. And, no telling how many of these subscribers are processing scrap or are wanting to process scrap. Meanwhile, in this same video, we watch Ivan take a load to the second scrap yard. What do we see as he drives into this second scrap yard? Well, 13,000 subscribers can see a scrap yard that is incredibly clean, well organized, appears to be well managed…and easily accessible for a large truck, like the one Ivan is driving. All-in-all, this is a really bad public relations/marketing blunder for the first scrap yard. You are ticking off a guy who has a TH-cam channel and 13,000 subscribers! Wake up!!! Conversely, this video REALLY makes the second scrap yard look like a great, reliable business with whom to partner.

Great to hear! Thanks for watching and thanks for sharing!
Concrete place near me in St. Petersburg Florida doesn’t charge to dispose of concrete. They refine it and reuse it
We are moving that way
I agree I watch Project shop FL he had a scrapyard reach out to him and pay more than a much larger one. Maybe that will happen for you guys.
I hope that happens here......

Its a great idea, but the cost in labor would be too much.
Great behind the scene action of a demo company when i was doing demolition the company had a crusher on the job and would take the crushed concrete to a yard and sell them it
It seems to be very profitable......

Not sure if you want to show your driver collecting cash and plopping it on the dash. Might be a robbery risk.

Scrap yards are lying. Pack it in for new production inside the US. We need to; however if the steel is from China, it's cheap crap.
You would think that steel is steel once uit is processed right?
