Vlog idea: you each get $20 to spend on an outfit for each other at a thrift store, then you go on a date in them, and also post a picture on twitter or IG and people vote which outfit is better, whoever gets the most votes wins and the loser buys dessert or something :) but I would love a grocery haul! I love the parade of home vlogs!! Also yes I always got a present growing up, normally it was something small (a candy bar, a pen, a stuffed animal) and my dad would always get me and my sisters flowers!
If you need any more soup recipes I recommend Kartoffelsuppe, it's a German potato soup. You just saute garlic, leeks, carrots, celery & potatoes (specifically gold) in olive oil. And then boil it in chicken broth (or you can use veggie broth) until everything is tender. Blend it up and I add German sausage to it but you can ommit if you'd like. It's sooo good. Doesn't require much seasoning other than salt & pepper and maybe some paprika is you'd like.
I went to Parade of homes last year. Ours is in the summer. My sister and I went to one house that looked like a castle and even had a 2nd floor balcony. It had a built in slide for kids that went down 3 floors.
