You probably already know this, but if you want to pronounce his name in Swedish, it’s roughly like this: Gideon is pronounced like "YEE-deh-on." The "G" sounds like a soft "Y" (like "yes"), and the "i" sounds like "ee" in "see." The emphasis is on the first syllable "YEE." Ståhlberg can you break down like this: Ståhl sounds like "stohl" (like "stole" in English), with the "å" pronounced like the "o" in "more." Berg** is a bit tricky: it's pronounced like "bear" with a soft "y" sound at the end, so it’s "bear-y." Putting it all together: "YEE-deh-on STOHL-bear-y." Good luck! The "Lund" part sounds like "loon" (as in the bird), and "in" sounds like "een," with the stress on the second syllable. "Stoltz" is easy, but his first name, "Gösta," is pronounced "YUH-stah."
