Technically it does, although the English taught bachelors programme only has 120 places per year and is fairly new and experimental which is why I didn't mention it. And yes, the WU offers some masters programmes, but I spoke only about bachelors programmes in this video. :)
Guys i do not know why he said they do not but WU has taught bachelor's programs in English since Fall 2018. Just to clarify, you can study in English and take English taught classes at WU
i am from vienna and thought about going to WU and I talked to several people who go there/already graduated and they all said that most years the entrance exam doesn‘t take place or it takes place but ends up not counting because a lot of people don‘t show up. Of course there‘s no guarantee for that tho.
Well, 3 of my friends (all admitted to WU at different years but within the last 5 years) told me that they needed to do the entrance exam. I wouldn´t count on there not being an exam as the C1 requirement is a year old now and everyone knows that an increase in requirements took place so people will be better prepared. Either way, good luck if you are trying to get admitted!
How is your experience in WU so far? I am thinking of applying for my masters, something like business informatics in english. Any sugestions on the process, accomidation and so on?

Yes, everyone with the C1 certificate and a high school diploma was accepted. I am not sure how many people in total, but I´ve heard from many sources that the limit is ca. 3500 people. I learned English through the making of TH-cam videos on my old gaming channel. Pozdrav! :)
Hey Jacob, do you know how tough is the competition for the English Bachelor program? How many people wanted to apply last year. Because now there are 240 places available, probably this year it will be easier to apply?
Cao Jacob, imao sam jedno pitanje, ima jedan novi program "Business and Economics" do I need C1 in German for it because on the website it says that it will all be conducted in English. Hvala unapred!
Hey there. I attended WU as an international student and I'm thinking about making a video about how I got accepted. Do you think I should still make it?
Hello Jacob. You said you must speak German for all programs at WU but I am told they have a Bachelors program in Business and Economics that is conducted in English. Do you know if it is true?
Hey Edward, you were told right. There is an english taught Bachelors program but this year only 120 people were admitted. Not sure about ghe quota for next year. One thing you should know is that the english programe (due to being new and after all taught in english) has tough competition on the entrance exam. Hope this helps. Jacob
Jacob: Thank you. That is very helpful. May I ask another question? In your video, you said in your program, everyone was admitted because not enough people applied? so you did not have to worry about the entrance exam? is that correct? Why did so few people apply? Can you explain a little? Thank you. I should say I am researching school options for my daughter. My wife is Slovak and we live between the US and Slovakia. Right now my daughter is in third year of high school. She is living in Slovakia but studying with an on-line high school from the US. She has US and EU passports. I am researching European schools with programs conducted in English. She is fluent in Slovak but prefers doing her school in English. She also prefers the American style of teaching/learning. She is interested in Webster University in Vienna but I am looking for alternatives that might be just as good but less expensive I would be interested in your comments since you have direct experience. If you have a lot to say and writing is limited, we can arrange to connect via phones, skype, facebook etc Regards, Edward@@jacobshustle403
@@edwardmegargee5506 Hey Edward! I believe there were 2 reasons behind the lower number of applications this year. One is that a fee of €50 was introduced to discourage people from applying without actually intending to study there. The second reason is that the language requirement level was raised from B2 to C1 completely out of the blue which threw a lot of people off guard as they didn´t get their certificate in time. Next year it might be different tho. As for the method of teaching, I will do a video on this as well. Basically, WU gives you complete freedom as to when where and how you study as students are not required to attend most classes so that is something to be considered. Of course, you need to be your own chief and make your own learning schedule or you could quickly fall behind on your studies. That´s about it. If you have any questions or would like to connect via Skype and ask me some more, contact me on Twitter or Instagram. Have a good day :)
Hello Namrata, I have a question for work hours during sem break. Aren't students allowed to work full time during the semester break in Austria? Like, in Germany a student strictly can't exceed 20 hrs/week, but during the sem break student can stretch that to 40 hrs/week. Isn't it the same in Austria as well?
Yes, Sarah! In that case you will need to pay the 50€ fee for both admission procedures separately. In case there is an entrance exam for both programmes they won´t take place at the same time, don´t worry.
Do you need only the C1 certificate and the high school diploma, or the grades from all years of high school translated too? And would the grades matter more than the certificate and diploma?
Nope, the only 2 things you need are your C1 Certificate (which you don't need to translate as it's already in German), and the high school diploma which you will need to get translated by an authorised and certified translator. I would recommend bringing copies of both documents when you come to the admissions office though.
