He also sometimes shows parts of the kit where he half asses it. As someone who is just above average with gunpla, it gives me some reassurance that you dont need to be a world champion gunpla kit builder to enjoy the hobby.
@@ktkace for real, especially given what waltfeld said about how many shots ps (and in turn vps though more for the latter) can take before complete battery drainage. Combine that with a much faster dps than even a Gatling (so many shots in an instant) and the fact that everyone’s using battery suits just cements this thing’s practicality
@@Kyrio1911 huh you got a point, i figured gatling concept was that it is a lot of small shots fast, whereas this system is a lot of small shots simultaneously at once, leading to a much higher amount of damage in a significantly shorter anount of time than a gatling
The backpack itself doesn’t move around in the film, but the cape itself does It looks super cool, and you’re gonna love it when the movie is available in your place
@@henry_ho0606 you’re right. I just wish the cape that was given didnt have that weird fade out towards the end but I think that could be easily fix by snipping off the transparent parts.
@@Saicofake That’s bc of how it shows in the movies, it does fade at the edge of the cape. A model kit cannot recreate it perfectly, either we suck it up, or just like what you said, fix the edge on our own
A lot of people shit on the new seed freedom suits but I dig them A LOT! I also just got this kit. Ever since the black knight squad was revealed I always thought they looked so badass.
I really can’t wait for the destroy tbh, I wish it came with a beam shield effect though but I really think that would be the largest effect piece in a gunpla

Just a little fact about this kit, the red glows under black light! The gold unfortunately doesn’t. So the mighty strike freedom has blacklight reactive gold but no red, and this has reactive red but no gold
I think it's time thaIt HG Kits get premium buttflaps as standard. The amount of movement that is blocked is unjustifiable in 2024. The amount of stickers is also a big letdown. This Kit is almost 20 €! It is more expensive than many RG's. Bandai is slacking!

Noticed these designs actually came from the GOUF custom built models in the GSD Astray MOOKs or Gundam Weapons books. Only difference with this kit is the head and the curves of the armors but u can obviously tell the design had been around several yrs ago.
Amd all my beam sabers are red. Unless its something that actually matches the kit. I always make mine red. The billion pink sabers are easy to change to red.
It really does sucks that this particular model has a really unique design, a lot of cool accessories and a cool looking air on your shelf but it suffers from the same problem as the rising freedom and the immortal Justice more so in terms of the parts getting weaker over time meaning they will inevitably fall off. I have some friends who are planning on still getting this regardless because of how unique this looks from everything that we've seen in the seed lineup and I probably will be doing the same because this was the one model that I wanted from this movie line the most.

Out of curiosity how tall is it compared to the moon gundam? I ask because it kinda reminds me of it, idk why it reminds me of the moon gundam but it is for some reason.
black knight shiva *had the same height with other standard 1/144 gunpla such as exceed galaxy or rising freedom* if u compare it with nu gundam or moon gundam ofc they are slightly taller than average 1/144 eg or hg gunpla
im not gonna lie, if they added a traditional V-fin on the top of the head, and gave it a traditional color, they could make this as a gundam for a new series.
Thats really not slot of stickers. Its an HG kit so theres not ss much going on as there would be higher grade kits, and honestly theres waaaay worse kits when it comes to stickers on HG kits. I personally just use a very very thin coat of clear finish over them this way i dont have to worry sbout wear and tear and if ya do it light and thin enough you'd never even be able tovtell you did it. Idk i just dont really have any problems with stickers, aside from the super super tiny ones, like head camera stickers for example, they really arent that much of a problem
To me this looks so much like the Gespenst XN from Super Robot Wars. The ear pieces, the broad shoulders, the thicker lower legs....it just screams Gespenst for me.

Looks like someone from the Build team snuck one of their gunpla designs into the Seed universe. Not a fan of the fact that it's supposed to be an actual MS, but it does look cool.
I don't think it's that impressive either, and that color correcting sticker sheet is insanely huge for a kit in 2024. This kit feels like a step backwards.
In defense of the review, while the raw amount of color correcting stickers are insane, it's probably more of an issue of the design itself rather than the quality alone. The build, articulation, details, and design is definitely top notch even without the color correcting sticker. For a HG, i find the quality definitely befitting a platinum tier, although the bar definitely needs to be raised ever since WfM kits.

The black Knight kits are fairly different even if there's only really 3 of them.
Those chest needles against ps armor is still in my opinion absolutely brilliant

You know, thats what missing from this kit imo. The wing would fix the ‘emptiness’ of the backpack.
