I don't like filming so close to my plane with my drone I must admit but it's become somewhat of a tradition now! It actually was a hoot in the crosswind - there aren't many planes I can say that about. It feels very rewarding to fly in pretty much every aspect!
You're making the Skyranger Nynja look very appealing! Seems to handle the crosswind well, glad to see you're enjoying the aircraft and look forward to your flights in 2023!!
Thanks Matt. It’s a cracking little aircraft and has filled me with confidence. It just seems to do what you tell it and is very forgiving. It is important that I don’t get complacent or push my limits too far too soon though so I am being sensible about it as I’ve only got about 5/6 hours flying it so far but I certainly have never “bonded” with a new plane so quickly or so well. Thanks for watching!
Haha brilliant! I hope you enjoyed it! I have really been enjoying making the videos again! Next one is yesterdays trip to Caernarfon that Anna & I did yesterday! Aiming to get that out probably next week maybe sooner. Thanks for watching!
Excellent seeing you back making flying videos again Nick. Nice landings as well, good demonstration of wing down technique which I never do until transition, excellent. Brilliant that you love the aircraft. Fantastic stuff.
Thanks so much Terry. Big compliment from you! Yes I absolutely love it. The E-Prop is absolutely fabulous. We're seeing about 1600fpm on climb out when I fly it to the numbers. Really easy plane to fly but rewarding at the same time - you'll have to have a go - I have insured her open pilot!
Good video. I saw you the other day at Caernarfon standing next to the taxiway. I was going to say hello, but i had my hands full getting the dog into the C172. Hope to bump into you again.
Wow - small world! I am sorry that I missed that as it sounds like it would have been entertaining to watch! I've got no hope of getting my dog up sadly - he's a 50kg German Shepherd so if he decided he wasn't happy up there he would pose as a bit of a hazard so it costs me about £25 a pop for "doggy daycare" if I can't convince my mum to take him for the day! I do love to see people taking their dogs with them though! Thank you for watching!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed it. Yes - absolutely love the Nynja! My favourite plane so far by far! I will be keeping this one a good long while I think!
Happy New Year Nick! Best wishes to you and your family! Congrats on the new plane! Great to see you're up to speed with it. Nice x-wind landings too, definitely a difficult day but you nailed it. Looking forward to your next videos.
Thanks Diyan! Happy New Year to you too! Thank you for the words of encouragement. I have to say that the aircraft does fill me with confidence and I am very happy with it so far!
@@LetsGoFlying I fully appreciate it and it's all great news as I've pointed myself in the same direction, with reference to instructing and type of aircraft to use for it! Glad to see the Nynja delivers! Having owned an older gen Skyranger I personally prefer them over the C42's as they require more feet work, have better visibility and are better for actual flying overall. Looking forward to more videos as I work things out financially! Should be in touch with you regarding this towards the end of the year I hope.
I think you hit the nail on the head there - for the first time in about 18 months (since I sold G-MEGZ) I do feel like myself again! I have been super busy with work, moving house etc so have been all work and barely any play! It is good to fit flying back in and making these videos I find soothes the soul to be honest! It is almost like I am adding to my "memory bank"
Shoot.. So happy for you, Nick! And all your positive feedback on the Nynja makes me wish to win the lottery even more, so that I can get my own Nynja 😂 Looking forward to the next one!! Blue skies!!
Thank you! I absolutely love the Nynja. It fills me with confidence in most scenarios so far! When I'm getting bashed around in the spring thermals will be the real test!
I'd love to have a plane like that!!! Your runway looked long enough to do touch and go landings, I wondered why you didn't do T&G just so you could get back up quicker to reduce time between landing practicing. Nice flying though I enjoyed your video! Liked and subbed!
You make a valid point regarding the touch and go's and I would probably have done that if I was a bit more familiar with the aircraft. I just wanted to slow everything down instead of adding another stressor. If I recall correctly I don't think Anna likes touch and go's that much either 😂. Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
Happy New Year Nick to you and yours🍻🥂✨ You did well, I hear what you're saying, I agree👍 The C42s and SRs seem to do wind well the Eurostar less so. I'm glad you're enjoying your new kite it seems awesome, I like the panel. Is it still air tight and the heater working well?🤔🤞✌️👍😊
Yes - Happy New Year to you too! I’m really enjoying it to be fair. I liked the panel on my old C42 so I tried to add the parts I liked about that to this and it seems to have worked quite well! The Nynja really shocked me at how well sealed it is - there’s no drafts and the heater is super powerful. I’ve flown in -6 and I wasn’t cold!
@@LetsGoFlying Thanks✌️👍😊Sounds like a fab choice, I liked the panel in your C42 too. I like the fact that the flap lever is on the floor in the SRN too. Have fun👍😊
Is the red parcel shelf a standard thing on the Nynja? I’ve got access to a Swift and wondering if i could buy something and make it work - a little extra storage space wouldn’t go a miss!!
Do you mean the two pouches next to the panel? If so then yes these came with the plane and I think if you’ve got the same binnacle instrument panel they should fit? I’m sure Paul at Flylight will be able to tell you.
I did indeed! It was about £400 extra but seeing as I'm keeping the aircraft a long time and I have never really owned much from new before I figured I would treat myself!
Thank you that’s very kind. I use a simple lapel mic into the ear cup, however, it’s funny you should ask because I’ve literally just changed to jacking directly into the radio/intercom and plugging it straight into the GoPro. The next video is using this method and I am pretty impressed with the results - it should be an improvement on this.
Nick, how much for a free Eurostar97SL? 🤣 honestly though awesome video as always buddy. I’m curious though; has your aircraft got a built in heater at all?
Smiled when I saw the new title sequence. That looked like a lot of fun in the crosswind!

Lovely plane.
Upgrade those seatbelts to Luke's.
Staggering price but you'll never regret it.
Thank you! I do love the Luke's. I will have a word with Mr Hilton!
